There's not much one can say about soundproofing panels, but this product functions exactly as advertised. I would very much prefer that each section came with its own adhesive backing. This would make installation a breeze. I hope that the product will improve in this area at a future date, but I don't see any reason to reduce the five star rating based upon this fact, because the product makes no such claim regarding self-adhesion. Recommended.

These are great, by far the best ones I have purchased yet. Their quality and durability are both good and it definitely helps with the noise. I wish it was more than 6 in a pack because I would love to fill the whole wall with them, but for now it's perfect for what I need.

These foam panels come in a deeper dimension of 2 inches deep(thick). Online there are many sound proofing panels sold in big bundles that are only 1 inch thick. I don’t have a dedicated space to turn into a podcast studio. If that’s your situation, you’d probably want to buy a built bulk pack. A six pack might be a good way to see if this brand is the one you want to use. Two inches thick is clearly better at sound absorption than 1 inch. In my case, I wanted to reduce the amount of sound coming through a specific door in my house. Therefore this limited pack of 6 panels is good for experimenting. To cover an entire door might take 10-12 panels. These foam squares look and feel just like the very soft and cushioning foam that you might find in a chair pad. However these panels have that the unique pyramid shapes that absorb sound. The instruction says to glue or use spray adhesive, (adhesive sheets would probably also work as well) to attach the panels to your surface. As I’m not yet sure how effective these panel will be in the specific place that I want to reduce sound. I need to devise a way to attach these panels to a door. I could attach them to a thick cotton fabric then, pin or strap the fabric with panels to the door. Another way will be to glue them to an artist foam board then attach the board to my door of interest. I may first to a mock up assembly by using clear tape to attach these panels to a foam board, then move on to permanent adhesive. These panels come in a small dense packet where these panels are all vacuum packed inside. The instructions state to either let the panel air out and stretch for 24- 48 hours. Or to soak the panels then wring them out, and place in a dryer for 20 minutes. I opted for the 2 day slower process.

I used these to help isolate a window in my theater room to keep the window from vibrating. The peaks of all the tiles are very uniform to each other. Foam is not that dense its pretty squishy so Im not sure how well these will work out, the second drawback is no adhesive on these tiles or do they give you any and the last drawback is you only get 6 tiles which doesn't cover much area at all. So I would say you could do better finding a more dense tile.. Thanks for reading.

The foam panels are pretty easy to put on. So far the sound has definitely been reduced. The foam panels are also uniform and easy to stick on. I haven't run into any issues so far. It's definitely worth the value to get these and reduce the noise around the room.

I ordered these to be cut into smaller pieces so I can build a sound box around my microphone. I'm limited with what I can and cannot attach to the walls of where I am living so my solution was to just build a box lined with these around my microphone to aid in my recording. These worked excellent for my solution. I don't know if I would want to deck an entire studio out with this material, but it does get the job done and well, and is good for repurposed construction as I have done. It definitely cut down on reverb, AC sounds, and other noise pollution that comes from house recording.
