I returned the first set I bought because the majority were bent or curved. The second set had slightly fewer bent pieces. But it did take a strong drill to flatten them against gate frames when screwing them in. The doors are very light; they rest on a bottom bumper when closed and there is no weight pulling down on the hinges, so the these are sufficient for this use.

So far everything is great. These are nice, heavy duty hinges that seem like they'll serve us well for years to come. They look really nice. They work exactly as they should, and they look great in my log cabin. I think these look rustic enough that they really fit into the cabin look. But they're still functional. Which is really important to me. I got these for the gates that we were putting up. I needed to have something that was going to offer the heavy duty aspects of these hinges, but also still look nice. When you have seven kids, they tend to beat things up more than the average family would. So I tend to purchase more rugged items than I would need to if I didn't have a bunch of kids. These don't weigh a lot, but are still heavy duty enough that I think they'll last. They are a good fit for our gates without being overly long. I'm very happy with my purchase and my review item. I got to try two sets on review and I also purchased a set. I'm a very satisfied customer.
