    • Unsafe wire gauge poor quality
Review: I bought this unit based on all the glowing reviews about how “easy” it is to install, how “perfectly” it fits the C180 W202, and how “seamlessly” it connects via Bluetooth. Unfortunately, my experience tells a completely different story. First, the fit is anything but perfect. I had to modify my dash trim just to get this to sit flush, and even then it feels loose and cheap. The so-called “plug and play” install took over two hours because the connectors don’t properly match factory specs. Bluetooth worked—for about five minutes. After that, the connection became unstable, especially with my Pixel. Audio lags, cuts out intermittently, and forget trying to take a call without sounding like you’re underwater. As for the display, it looks decent at first glance, but don’t expect durability. Mine developed flickering issues within a week, and visibility in sunlight is practically nonexistent. The interface also feels clunky and unresponsive, definitely not up to modern standards. Sound quality? If you’re coming from even a basic OEM radio, this will be a downgrade. Tinny highs, no real bass, and distortion above moderate volume. I swapped it out within days. I honestly don’t understand the high ratings unless people are reviewing this straight out of the box without using it long enough to notice the flaws. Either that, or something sketchy is going on with the review system here. Save your money—this product overpromises and seriously underdelivers. ... show more

    • Exactly what you want at the price point
Love the reviews giving this less than 5 stars. This was $65 with a coupon and for $65 it's unbelievable. Splicing it in was easy enough, everything's color coded as it should be. Bluetooth linked up quickly, sound is decent. Don't need the backup cam so didn't bother to wire that. Again, for $65, this is unbeatable. If you want to hem and haw about well could be a little better in the sun, lags just a little bit, sound quality could be a little better (all of which are true), etc, then spend decent money and buy a higher end product. It's like buying a Geo Metro and then complaining you got beat off a red light by a Benz or something, insanity. If you're looking for the functionality at a dirt cheap price, then this is super legit. ... show more

Used it for 3 weeks, no issues except the volume control response was sketchy and erratic. I was afraid to brake the volume knob off. I did enjoy the user interface, very user friendly.

This was a breeze to install. All the wires matched up perfectly except for the orange wire that went to the BUS plug that I did not use because my Jeep doesn’t have the functionality for it. The radio boots pretty quickly and connecting to Car Play was simple. I like that it has memory and starts up the same place as when you turn it off. ***Note it does NOT come with the bracket needed. I had a seamless install into my 2000 jeep XJ and it works perfectly fine. connects to my phone as it should. but It does get a little hot after being on for a while and I also wish you could change the RGB dash lights settings. It also isn't the most responsive screen in the world but its not too bad. edit: After having this radio for about 2 months, it has not gotten better. the Volume scroll wheel is tapping out as it barely works anymore (luckily there is a feature to change the volume on the screen). I might be going crazy but I think the music quality is somehow getting worse. the connectivity still works great and I use it often for my GPS. I haven't been hard on the radio so i doubt these issues are user error. I would give it 2.5/5 stars if it'd let met. ... show more

I put this radio in 95 Jeep YJ and it fit perfect. I replaced my old radio with this. The car play works wireless and with a plug on it. Sound quality is way better especially since I only have 6.5inch speakers in my jeep. You can equalize it how you want and for the price it was worth it. It won’t work with a subwoofer unless you have a better setup than mine. Tried doing it without an amp. But great product and quality. ... show more

    • Constantly locks up or disconnects
If I could give this a less than 1 star, I would! At first the stereo worked as intended for about 7 or 8 months. Then it started having Bluetooth connectivity issues. My iPhone would no longer connect wireless. I had to start using the usb cord. Then shortly after that it started having issues even with the cord and progressively gotten so bad that I won’t even use the stereo at all anymore. I’ve tried different cords. It CONSTANTLY loses connectivity, or the stereo locks up and what ever millisecond of music was playing when it locks up it will continuously play the millisecond in loop for a solid 2 minutes before the stereo decides to reboot itself. When it’s locked up you cant change songs, adjust volume, mute, or turn off the stereo. You just have to sit there and listen to it play its loop until it resets. I’m almost to the point of ripping it out and throwing it out the window ... show more
