We have 7 rescue cats, live in a rental, and the owner left us with WHITE carpet. Between the cat puke and the ONE cat with litter box issues, it's a never ending battle of fighting stains. And let's not forget Christmas, when I have to put up 3 wooden baby gates to keep them out of the tree! Because of the pain of taking the baby gates down and putting them back up, we end up avoiding the living room. But this INCREDIBLE gate solved our issues! You can mount it with screws or by pressure bolts, so it fantastic for rental homes. It comes almost completely assembled, and the instructions were simple to follow. I really believed it would take two of us to install this thing, but no! I did it by myself...and within 30 minutes, tops! Best of all, if you're worried about not being able to install because of baseboard trim, no worries! The bottom bolts and top bolts adjust independently, so it mounts straight and mounts tight! The height extension is a must have if your cats are jumpers and I only had to use 1 extra section for a 36" entry way. Best of all, it swings both ways, for convenience, and the latch is incredibly easy to maneuver. There's even a small latch that easily moves up or down to lock the gate. I am absolutely THRILLED with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone! But especially renters. This is the difference between getting your security deposit back or being charged a fortune to replace carpet and flooring. It's high quality, painted steel so it looks nice. Sure, it's not cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for! If you're on the fence about this, like I was, go ahead and do it! You'll have zero regrets!

This gate is PERFECT for keeping my large dog separated from my cats. The cats are loving the small door at the bottom which allows them to freely come and go. It has been giving the dog some exposure to the cats while still allowing them an easy escape route. The gate can swing both directions (towards you and away from you) which is very convenient. As far as security gates go, it is sleek and nice looking. I didn't need them, but it comes with several extension pieces for wider doorways. I used the pressure mounting system, but it also comes with hardware for if you want to attach it to the wall (recommended for installation on stairs). I am so happy with this that I am going to buy a second one!

I purchased this pet gate for the master bedroom when I have visitors with a big German Shepherd. It is easy to assemble, and comes with options to fit most doorways. It has not damaged the door frame or the floor. When the German shepherd is not visiting, I have two cats that like to hang out in that room and not be bothered by the resident dogs. I can leave the bedroom door open with just the pet gate up and the cats enjoy being left alone! The gate is sturdy and very good to look at. It’s definitely tall enough to not have to worry about cats or the big dog, jumping over it!

This Pet gate is great all around. I have 2 cats which usually opened the sliding door that once was up before this. I want to keep the cats out the living room, especially when I am not here due to the furniture. The gate is great, tall enough, and great quality of it. The add on part is the small opening for the cats when they can come in while I am here. The only thing is the closer of the tall part where you need to press the part up to close it instead of just locking its self when it shuts. Its definitely a great gate and I will recommend this to anyone. This gate also comes with other bars if you're doorway is bigger then mine which is 30.5". We ordered this to use while a new cat was being introduced to our resident cat. It is installed using the pressure mounted option onto the wood trim going into a bedroom. We were pleased the mounting pieces were able to fit perfectly on the trim piece. Our door was 30.5 inches, so we did not need the side extensions. The door fits securely and we have no concerns about it coming loose. When we added the additional height piece at the top, the hole for one of the screws to secure it didn’t quite match up to the frame. We just tightened the screw as far as it would go then added a zip tie to secure. (See picture) The screw on the other side matched perfectly. There is a little resistance when turning the lock feature, but we can still turn the lock and open the door using one hand. The lock is unable to loosened, but I’m thinking it might loosen with use. The auto closing is a nice feature and so is anti trip piece you attach at bottom. The instructions were clear. It was packaged well. After the new cat is fully acclimated, I plan on moving this to another doorway to keep all cats out of that space. It’s nice the door swings either way so it can be used whatever the situation is. It’s also nice I did not have to remove the bedroom door to install, and I can close the door almost completely if some privacy is needed. It looks great, functions well, great value. We are very glad we made this purchase.

pretty happy with this bad boy. The instructions translated to English from Chinese could use a little work, but it's really not that awful. I installed mine in a 47-in gap between a garage and an almost fully glassed in deck so that my cat could come hang outside. I used the pressure mounted instructions so really no tools needed just patience. My cat had no interest in trying to climb and it's way too tall to jump, I got the tallest and the widest one that expands to 51 in. definitely recommend for indoor or outdoor it's pretty sturdy.

I would've given it 5 stars, but I think I hit myself in the head with it a couple of times putting it together. I did manage to get it set up by myself, which is a good thing - if you know me. The only thing - it states "don't break the band until it's set up". AS I was setting it up, the band broke by itself. Still haven't found that band. Honestly didn't matter - then again, I didn't realize my door is somewhere between 29.5 and 30". This thing just barely fit. First thing I did was open the cat door 3/4 of the way. Did you know a jack russel terrier can wiggle through something that small? Dropped it to 1/2 - thinking it'd be too small for the cats, but they go through just fine. My only other issue just found out my terrier is scared to death of the cat - which is a good thing. Door works absolutely fantastic. Somebody posted you need two hands to work the latch - not true. Only reason you'd need both hands is if you need to lock the latch. I'm only keeping animals apart - so no need to "lock" it. My favorite part - it opens both ways and now I can keep the main door open between my dining room and kitchen. Hubby was complaining it was "loose". Asked him if the door felt loose or the whole contraption. He realized it was just the door wiggled. Very solid.
