These fans are amazing! Easy to install and set up. They connect easily to a 2.4/5GHz WiFi router. Setup in the Tuya app, which connects to Google Home/Alexa. It is easy to setup voice commands to turn on/off the lights and fan. The fans have 6 speeds and are reversible. The remote control is easy to connect, although once connected to WiFi the remote is not really needed. I love the way the white fan looks.

I've only had the fan for one day, so I have no idea about longevity. But, as far as functionality, it is amazing. Install and setup was a little complicated (and I'm a long time IKEA furniture builder with a strong technical background). The listing says that there is an install video available, but there isn't really one. There is a sketch of the install in one of the product photo/videos. There is also a manual. Both seemed a little off. For example, there was a recommendation to install the light bracket on the motor first, then the blades and it can't be done in that order. Also, it really required that you remove the metal plate where the light bracket goes in order to install the blades and the nut that holds that plate in place was challenging to remove. There was also a bit of jiggling and juggling required to install the drop shaft and it's related components. And, of course, there were a few snags in app and Alexa setup. In the manual, there is a QR code. When you scan it, you get taken to a page in the Google app store that does not exist. When you search for "SmartEra" in the Google app store, as suggested in the manual, there is no such app. Somehow, I discovered that there is a Tuya app (name totally unrelated to product or company name of the fan) and that worked like a charm. I downloaded and installed the Tuya app, created an account, signed in and it recognized the fan pretty quickly. Then I added in my 2.5GHz wifi SSID and pswd and that worked. After doing that, it seemed like the device was added to Alexa automatically. Then, I had to experiment around with a few different commands to get the fan to do all the things I wanted it to do. Although the manual didn't tell me these commands, they were intuitive and they did work. Here are the commands I tried using (I named my fan "Smart Fan"): - Alexa, turn Smart Fan on - Alexa, turn Smart Fan off - Alexa, turn Smart Fan light on - Alexa, turn Smart Fan light off - Alexa, set Smart Fan speed to 1 - Alexa, set Smart Fan speed to 6 Even though it was a bit of a struggle, now that I got it all together, it looks great and works great. The fan produces a ton of air flow even at speed 1. And speed 6 is almost too intense. And the light is super bright (if you want it to be). I also like that I can make the light a very warm, yellowish color (although you can choose cooler colors if you like). And, although installation was a little tricky, I didn't need to do anything to balance the fan blades. No wobble at all. Overall, I highly recommend this fan!

The primary problem stems from the wiring. What you get is two, three-wire runs which terminate in connectors. The remote control unit has corresponding connectors. The problem starts with the rather truncated length of these two wiring runs. One could likely support a 12 inch ceiling rod, but the other is doubtful for even 9 inches. Of course they work fine for the included 6 inch rod, but become problematic if you want (as I did) an 18 inch ceiling rod. Why? Because you have to splice-in two, three wire lengths of cable. I did this using solder connections and heatshrink tubing. It works but it took me maybe an hour to make the extensions. What the manufacture should've done, in my opinion, is offer two extensions runs with the appropriate connectors on each end. Unfortunately they don't, leaving the consumer to fabricate two extension runs. Most conventional fan/lights use just three wires running up the ceiling rod. These do not use connector blocks and can easily be extended. Aside from this setback, the assembly of the lights went fine. I do wish the cables (to the wall light switch) were maybe a couple of inches longer, because seating the remote in the ceiling assembly an be irksome. However, this was just a brief irritant. So how does the fan/light work? Personally I quite like the simplicity of this system. The fan motor is extremely quiet and the light, although somewhat harsh in terms of hue, puts out a decent amount of light. However, to be honest, I wish the light could produce another 1200 lumen (at least). There is a very noticeable lag between pushing a button on the remote and getting the unit to respond. I expect you would get used to this characteristic? It isn't a showstopper (to me) however. I did not need or use the vibration/wobble cancelling kit they included in the package. That was a relief! So overall I am satisfied by this product but just a little more thought could've elevated it to a value-for-money, five start performer.

This is an amazing fan. We decided to upgrade our ancient bedroom ceiling fan. Perfect size for our 500 sq ft bedroom. Has a modern and high-end look to it. It’s even nicer looking in person and completely surpassed my expectations aesthetically. My husband was impressed with how easy it was to install. Very straightforward and matched up electrically to what was there already. The light is super bright on its highest setting, fully dimmable ~ and it Really moves!! Cools down the space nearly instantly. And it’s extremely quiet too! The remote works great and has awesome range. The app is user friendly and fun to use. Set up with Alexa took less than 5 minutes it was seamless and effortless You can even reverse the direction directly from your phone. I love that I can set it to turn on a half hour before bed to cool down the space before I go upstairs. The Blades reverse easily~ I plan to use the gray shade for summer months. I want to upgrade the entire house eventually. This ceiling fan has created a wonderful experience and it’s well worth the price. I will definitely be buying another!

I'm really enjoying my Roomratv Ceiling Fan! It's a great size and puts out a ton of wind, perfect for keeping cool on hot days. Installation was a breeze, and the smart features with the app are fantastic. Using Alexa is a game-changer. I can control everything - turning the light and fan on or off, setting timers, scheduling routines - all with voice commands. No more hunting for the remote or getting up to adjust the light! Fan worked great for the first 2 months, and then, out of the blue, it developed a severe wobble. No dust on the blades or anything that could have warped them. The main issue isn't the wobble with the blades, but with the light. It has somehow twisted or something and now has a very pronounced wobble. It's like a searchlight going off in my room as the light sweeps around it's wobble. Going to go with a name brand from the store because it's the same price and I can probably get resolution on something breaking.

I purchased this ceiling fan to replace an ancient, totally worthless fan in our master bedroom. We live in Arizona, and, unfortunately, our bedroom is the hottest room in the house, so having an ineffectual ceiling fan has been extremely frustrating, to say the least. After researching and reading through the reviews, I decided to purchase this 52" fan. My son-in-law installed it a few days ago, and I have been kicking myself ever since because I don't know why I waited so long! It's amazing, and a total game changer. I love the 6 different speeds, the LED light and dimmer, and having a very convenient remote control. The amount of air this fan moves is impressive, and I don't even need to have it on the top settings because it works so well. I'm very happy and satisfied with my purchase, and highly recommend this ceiling fan. There are fancier, more expensive fans available, but I find this one to be more than adequate. I haven't had it for very long, so I will update this review if any issues develop.
