I've only had the fan for one day, so I have no idea about longevity. But, as far as functionality, it is amazing. Install and setup was a little complicated (and I'm a long time IKEA furniture builder with a strong technical background). The listing says that there is an install video available, but there isn't really one. There is a sketch of the install in one of the product photo/videos. There is also a manual. Both seemed a little off. For example, there was a recommendation to install the light bracket on the motor first, then the blades and it can't be done in that order. Also, it really required that you remove the metal plate where the light bracket goes in order to install the blades and the nut that holds that plate in place was challenging to remove. There was also a bit of jiggling and juggling required to install the drop shaft and it's related components. And, of course, there were a few snags in app and Alexa setup. In the manual, there is a QR code. When you scan it, you get taken to a page in the Google app store that does not exist. When you search for "SmartEra" in the Google app store, as suggested in the manual, there is no such app. Somehow, I discovered that there is a Tuya app (name totally unrelated to product or company name of the fan) and that worked like a charm. I downloaded and installed the Tuya app, created an account, signed in and it recognized the fan pretty quickly. Then I added in my 2.5GHz wifi SSID and pswd and that worked. After doing that, it seemed like the device was added to Alexa automatically. Then, I had to experiment around with a few different commands to get the fan to do all the things I wanted it to do. Although the manual didn't tell me these commands, they were intuitive and they did work. Here are the commands I tried using (I named my fan "Smart Fan"): - Alexa, turn Smart Fan on - Alexa, turn Smart Fan off - Alexa, turn Smart Fan light on - Alexa, turn Smart Fan light off - Alexa, set Smart Fan speed to 1 - Alexa, set Smart Fan speed to 6 Even though it was a bit of a struggle, now that I got it all together, it looks great and works great. The fan produces a ton of air flow even at speed 1. And speed 6 is almost too intense. And the light is super bright (if you want it to be). I also like that I can make the light a very warm, yellowish color (although you can choose cooler colors if you like). And, although installation was a little tricky, I didn't need to do anything to balance the fan blades. No wobble at all. Overall, I highly recommend this fan!

This product lives up to its quiet claims and is easily installed and controlled by its remote or the Alexa app. I provides good airflow and generates only white noise. The light has multiple color temperature options of full gamut of brightnesses. It's all we need for a really good price

The fan came very well packed and compact. It was straight forward to put together and came with everything but the two AAA batteries. I had one small problem once I had it installed. The fan worked fine, but the light wouldnt turn on. I had to take the light off and discovered the pins on the connector were not inserted correctly and I had to push them back on. Light worked fine after that. Nice and bright. I like all of the settings. I didn't need to balance it at all either. Pretty good value for the money.

Super quiet even on max speeds, installation wasn’t too bad, the light could go dimmer in my opinion but the brightness and tone of light is amazing, remote is great and so convenient. Overall very happy with this purchase, my only complaint would be the instructions, sometimes somewhat difficult to understand but we got it eventually!

Bought this smart fan/light to go in a room with no center light and no way of running a switch on the wall (without channeling drywall). Works great with the SmartLife app, included remote and Alexa. Would buy again, in fact we got a smaller version for another room. Love it!

We ordered three of these (two of the white and gold and one black and gold). I wanted something modern with a little uniqueness to them, but not easily outdated. A tall order, I know. The good on these is more muted, which gives it a much more classy look. Even my boyfriend was impressed, and he really couldn’t care less about design. Putting them up was a breeze and we LOVE that there’s no light bulbs. The functions on the fan are amazing and we have all three hooked up to our Alexa, which is a fun touch. We love being able to turn the light on/off, change the dimness, turn the fan on/off, and adjust the speed, all by telling Alexa what to do.

The media could not be loaded. The fan worked very well for almost three weeks, but then the fan motor suddenly stopped working—even though the light still functions. I don't think it's worth spending more money to repair it, as that would mean paying both for the replacement and an electrician, which feels like a double expense. On a positive note, Amazon customer service was helpful and replaced the unit, even though it was the last day of the return window. However, based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this fan.

This is an amazing fan. We decided to upgrade our ancient bedroom ceiling fan. Perfect size for our 500 sq ft bedroom. Has a modern and high-end look to it. It’s even nicer looking in person and completely surpassed my expectations aesthetically. My husband was impressed with how easy it was to install. Very straightforward and matched up electrically to what was there already. The light is super bright on its highest setting, fully dimmable ~ and it Really moves!! Cools down the space nearly instantly. And it’s extremely quiet too! The remote works great and has awesome range. The app is user friendly and fun to use. Set up with Alexa took less than 5 minutes it was seamless and effortless You can even reverse the direction directly from your phone. I love that I can set it to turn on a half hour before bed to cool down the space before I go upstairs. The Blades reverse easily~ I plan to use the gray shade for summer months. I want to upgrade the entire house eventually. This ceiling fan has created a wonderful experience and it’s well worth the price. I will definitely be buying another!
