The spacing of the bars are perfect for the kittens and dogs to get acquainted without being a threat. The installation was easy. It took about 20 minutes with a couple interruptions in between. My baseboard has 3/4 round on the floor which was interfering in the way for the mounts to seat squarely. I put a 3/4 inch thick piece of decking board underneath the base plate of the gate to raise the gate. This worked perfectly. The gate is of good quality and I am happy with my purchase.

I just wish the little ramp went all the way up so there was no bump at the bottom for my cleaning robot to be able to get in and out of the room. It’s sturdy but I wish it provided the option to drill it in. It’s easy to open one-handed, and so far it has kept the pets out. Installation was a bit tricky but we got it. I liked that it came with the extra poles to get a wider door if needed but the way it is fit our door perfectly.

The product was everything that was stated in description. It works very well in keeping two cats from entering the room. The only disappointment was the instructions. The product is manufactured in China which explains that. All parts needed were present and well made.

My husband (engineer) struggled to get this to fit snugly in our hallway because the baseboards were in the way and tightening the bolt was very challenging. We ended up getting it to work but only by raising it off the floor. We concocted a shim to go underneath it. So many people about ease of installation, but that was not our experience. Surely other people have baseboard issues. Also be aware that you need two hands to open this door as you need to release the latch on the bottom by pulling upwards while you operate the switch on top. Otherwise it’s a good gate. It does what it’s supposed to do.
