Let me just dive right in with assembling the chair. It took me, with an injured hand, and my son helping by tightening screws and bringing me pieces, maybe 30 minutes from box opening to fully done. I think a fully able bodied person should be able to to complete it in maybe 15-20. It was by far the easiest chair I've ever put together. It looks nice and very sturdy. My be careful part of the title are the wheels that work incredibly well, especially on hardwood floors. So well that it tried to slide out from under me when I went to sit down on it. I'm considering putting a small area rug under it. I don't think I've ever had a chair move that easily before. My old one was always stiff in the wheels. Unadjusted it sits nicely high, I'm 5'10 about 300lbs, and all the way down was comfortable enough on my legs. The back was very sturdy and supportive, the seat comfortable and big. All in all out of the box it's a great value and perfect for a bigger person like myself. ... show more

I've had this chair for about three years now and I can say assuredly, it was as advertised, and it was worth the cost. I am a very large person and I found it comfortable and sturdy. I can sit in it for hours. In the past few months it has developed some looseness in the back that I can't tighten up, and it always rolled a little too easily; makes it hard to stay in place in front of my desk. But the minuses are small and I would recommend it to any large and heavy person looking for a well-built, reliable desk chair that won't squeeze your hips or sink you to the floor when you plop in it. ... show more

    • Finally, a Chair That Didn’t Make Me Swear During Assembly

This chair just arrived today, so I can’t speak to longevity yet, but I can speak to assembly, and let me tell you: other office chair manufacturers should be taking notes. The instructions? Actually readable. The parts? Labeled like they were designed for human beings, not cryptographers. The seat bottom pivot was clearly marked “front” (and so was the seat itself), saving me from the usual 50/50 coin toss where you realize, three bolts in, you guessed wrong. And let’s talk about the hex key. Normally, these kits come with those sad, dinky little L-shaped bits of metal that strip your fingers before they tighten a single screw. Not here. This one came with a proper handle so you can actually crank things down with confidence. Revolutionary. Now, wheels. Instead of the usual cheap, plastic double casters that clog with pet hair and crumbs before you’ve even finished your first billing cycle, this came with rollerblade-style wheels. Smooth, silent, and so far, dirt-proof. My floor and my sanity thank you. Comfort-wise? Excellent. Plenty of cushion, unlike the paper-thin foam slabs most chairs pass off as “ergonomic.” I’ve sat long enough to confirm: no tailbone mutiny after 2.6 minutes. I read the reviews for this chair and some stated the wheels move a little too well. This has not been my experience. I have my chair on a thick plastic floor protector and I’ve had nary an issue with it rolling out from under me. It does swivel/spin wildly at times, but that’s not the wheels. I have found on the “normal” height carpet (what would be found in an apartment), that this chair does not roll well so if you have “normal” carpet, you’ll need a hard plastic to set the chair on. The chair was very easy to put together. I have a drill with Allen wrench bits so it didn’t take long at all. It would probably take around 25 minutes if you’re doing the screws by hand. This is a very heavy-duty chair that I sit in for the better part of 10 hours a day. So far it’s very comfortable. I do see in time that the foam will flatten, but one could always add a cushion to the seat. I like the flip up arms. That is probably the best feature on this chair. When you have the arms down, the cushions are very comfortable with lots of padding. All-in-all I would highly recommend this chair. For the price, it’s a great value. ... show more
