I am using this solar panel with 12v controller to keep my standby generators battery fully charged. I do not have to wire utility to the cord connected manual generator when using this solar panel. The mount is really solid and it could not be easier to assemble. The connections are all weatherproof so everything can stay outside. The controller regulates the output current based on the batteries state of charge. It works great and would recommend.

So I work in the construction business and we constantly have batteries that go dead all the time on our equipment dump trucks excavators so on so forth by mounting the solar panels on top of the roof of our equipment we no longer have dead batteries . But leave it to Mother Nature to prove me wrong one day

This is a nice little solar system. I use it with a 12v 18ah LiFePO battery. It easily tops off that battery after charging a laptop, two cell phones and a 12v led light running for a few hours. If you plan on trying to run a bigger battery and appliances then I would go with a bigger panel. But overall I am happy with it.

Of all the inexpensive small solar panels I've seen, this one has the better frame and mount. It works quite well as an adjustable stand if you want to simply set it on the ground. The charge controller, however, is a different story. I followed the instructions as much as I could decipher them but it would not charge the battery. The Panel and Load indicators on the controller lit brightly, but the battery indicator was very dim. After 1 hour in full sunlight, the battery voltage had dropped by 0.1 volts. I measured full battery voltage at the Load connection of the controller, but the voltage dropped to 0 volts whenever a load (1 watt 12 volt light bulb) was applied. My only options from Amazon are to either exchange the kit for a new one, or to return the kit for a refund. Even without the controller, the solar panel and cables are a decent value, and it's such a hassle to return it, so I'm just going to keep it. Just be aware that there are other reviews here that say the controller doesn't work or is defective.
