  • Great product! No issues!
Size: Foam Color: 50P-Foam
50 Pack Acoustic Foam Panels,2"X 12" X 12." I wanted to wait until I purchased my second set to do this review so that it would be honest and accurate. To be clear, these are not for sound proofing...they are for sound absorption just like a sponge absorbing water. They absorb room reflections but do not block sound. They're foam. One example is for vocals to keep the reverb in the room from coming into the mic. This will not keep noise like cars passing by, helicopters flying above, HVAC, or other noise from coming in hence, they will not block sound and soundproof your area. This is something that you as the consumer need to understand and accept BEFORE you purchase these panels. As sound absorption panels, they are good quality panels and work great! Also, to be clear, I am in no way telling, suggesting, or recommending anyone to NOT purchase these panels. They are good quality panels and I have had no issues with them! First thing to know that it clearly says that the adhesive tape does not come with the panels...you have to purchase your own. These are NOT self-adhesive! Second, when using the adhesive tape like 3m, you will need some additional adhesive like Gorilla Glue as foam doesn't always stick to the adhesive tape or the wall. Third, be patient! The best method is to let them set out for at least three days. The first two days is for the "smell" to air out while getting air in. The third day is an extra measure to examine them to see if any forming needs to be done. Pic 1: When then arrived and after I took the package out of the Amazon Box. Pic 2: When I took them out of the main wrapping. There are two vacuum sealed packs. Pic 3: When I took them out of the main wrapping. Since it's now unsealed, air started coming in and they already started expanding. Note: They expand quickly so prepare to get them out of the back quick! Pic 4: What they looked like 5 minutes later. Some expanded in full and some didn't and are deformed. There are two to each "stack". Pic 5: One of the "stacks" that was still somewhat compressed and deformed. Pic 6: After I pulled apart the stack that was still somewhat compressed. One panel. Pic 7. The other panel. Notice on both panel the triangles are deformed. Pic 8: Me beginning to pull the triangles gently. Pic 9: Me fully and gently pulling the triangles gently. As you can see, it's already getting it's form back. For the panels that are deformed, gently pulling the foam to get it to form helps get more air in and they will get their form quicker! This part takes patience! Those that said the panels would not take shape or stay deformed are not doing this to help shape the panels! Pic 10: All 50 Panels laid out and getting air All of this was done within one hour. They still need air out to completely form. Although the directions state 24 hours, it's better to wait 3 days. On my first set, I sprayed some Febreze to further take out the smell and will do the same to these. This does not take away their absorption properties. ... show more

  • Sound absorption at a good value!
Size: Foam Color: 50P-Foam
First off these are not sound proof, nor should they be. They are for sound absorption and they work quite well! I had zero issues with them expanding. Simply cut the package, stack them, and give them a good 24-36 hours. 90% of them get their form back. The others just need a little pinching along the edges and they will be fine. I used double sided adhesive gel stickers..stuck to the wall and the panels without any issues and you can remove them without them stripping the paint. End result: a surprisingly deading of the room the cut the reflections down drastically. Strongly recommend and pretty good value for the cost. Look stylish and quite durable so far. ... show more

Size: Foam Color: 80P-Foam
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Affordability Ease of installation: So time consuming and they do not come with the tape Noise level: Helps with sound blocking. Muffles things pretty well Durability: They treat very easily. If you have small kids or animals I would keep this in mind Smell: No smell ... show more

  • Significantly improves sound clarity and echoes.
Size: Foam Color: 12P-Foam
I have a budget home theater room and used the foam panels to reduce noise reflection, 'echoes', and to improve sound clarity. The adhesive works great, to date non of the panels have fallen. Anyone purchasing, if budget allows, should buy the 2 inch or thicker. But, these works well for me.

  • Be a little patient sometimes when peeling off the back don't pull too hard don't pull too fast.
Size: Hexagon Color: white-hexagon
These turned out to be pretty cool . Easy to work with. When peeling the back the sticky part peels up with it sometimes. Not a big deal . Just like pushing your cuticle back. You peel the back a little bit the sticker might come up too when it does you just take your fingernail and push it back that's it. Once you push the back you can peel off the whole back of it and you're good to go. Most of the time you don't have to even deal with it because there's going to be one corner of the peel off that's a little bit longer so you can peel off the back super easy. I was putting them on the ceiling and it's a no-brainer. Start out square put the next piece up against the last piece nice and square and you're good next thing you know you've stuck 72 of them on your ceiling. And it really really works sound deadening material spot on. ... show more

  • Not effective, but look great
Size: Hexagon Color: black-hexagon
I bought these panels to absorb some of my dog's barking. My wall is 13' X 9' and I bought four packs of the light blue, two of the grey, and two of the black (I ended up with 2 blue and 8 of the grey/black each left over). They look great, and I can confirm that the adhesive is paint safe and effective. But the sound-absorption effect is marginal at best. They're great for absorbing very light noise, but not loud sounds like dogs barking or music. The adhesive is also a bit difficult to work with. It tends to stick better to the paper cover than the panel which makes removing the cover difficult. Also, the panels are not all the same size, which added a headache to this project. You'll definitely need a box cutter to make them fit, and if you're particular about them fitting perfectly with each other, these are not for you, or you may want to hire a professional to install them. Bottom line, I don't recommend these if you're looking for a legitimate sound-proofing solution. I love the design I came up with and am pleased with the color choices, but that's about the only redeeming quality these panels have. ... show more
