    • Great detergent
I have been trying to reduce our use of plastic and started using detergent sheets, but they just don't clean well enough. This stuff cleans great, and the only plastic that came with it was a thin bag inside the cardboard box that the detergent powder was in, presumably to keep the powder from leaking out the box corners. I see a lot of people saying it has no scent, but what I received has a very light sort of floral scent that isn't detectable in washed and dried laundry. When I first opened the package I thought it had a slightly odd fermented odor, almost like beer. But that went away after a couple of days. I've seen people say it is too hard, and it's true, if you don't keep the bag closed the detergent will get hard, so don't leave it open. I repurposed a big plastic pail that some other detergent came in a couple of years ago that I transferred this to, which keeps the moisture out. Be careful transferring it though, so you don't breathe the dust. And I highly recommend using a mask and doing it outside. If this all sounds like too much effort, then it might not be the product for you. But for the reduction of plastic, the cleaning power, and the amazing price I think it's well worth it. ... show more

Laundry powder for a HE washing machine is getting harder and harder to find. Using powder rather than liquid is the solution for not having a stinky HE machine! They no longer make an industrial size box of seventh generation powder… In my quest to replace it, I stumbled across this brand … laundry came through looking fresh and clean, no funky fragrance or dyes. Works pretty well for sensitive skin. The fragrance does not stay in the clothing though which is both a con and a pro. Works best in warm/hot water but gets the job done in cold water.

I thought the box would be bigger but it's definitely the weight promised. Cleans well. I love that I only have to dispose of a thin plastic bag instead of a ton of plastic bottles. No real scent left on the clothes but they are clean! It dissolves well but I only use hot water

A lot of soap for the price does good job. It is unscented but the clothes come out clean with no odor that’s impressive because I’m a diesel mechanic and the soap works really well on my clothes.

    • Cheap but good quality detergent, large family friendly!
We're a family of 7 so multiple loads of laundry is a regular occurrence here. I was spending too much money on detergent and started shopping around. This stuff comes out to 6 cents an ounce, the cheapest I've found so far. It's a 50-pound bad of detergent so this is going to last us for months. We buy this off of Amazon because of the free shipping, and it's also the cheapest here. We cannot do dyes or perfumes due to sensitivity, so I was concerned about the citrus scent. We've been using this for 2 months and so far, no one has broken out or had any skin issues and the smell does not give me a migraine like the other scented detergents do. The clean clothes do not smell at all despite the detergent itself smelling citrus. My husband gets his jeans very grimy, and this detergent does a great job of cleaning them. We were using Oxyclean as a backup and I have been able to stop using it with this detergent. Just a word of warning, the detergent itself is a very fine powder, so be careful when you use it because it gets airborne very easily. Do not let little kids play with it or use it because they can inhale it and get hurt. We have an airtight container that we store it in so moisture doesn't get into it. So if you are drowning in laundry and need a cheap but quality laundry detergent, this is what you're looking for! ... show more

    • Not scoopable. Had to chisel it!
This detergent must have been stored in a high humidity warehouse for quite awhile. It was so hard a chisel and hammer had to be used to break it up. Annoying, to say the least. The plastic bag it was in was not really sealed, just twisted and secured with a twist tie, hence the humidity issue. The cost for this 50 lb box, as of the date this review is written, is also higher than other some other online sellers - one by as much as $13. ... show more
