It’s a great bulk purchase. Powder always lasts longer for me than liquid. The only issue I had with a powder form is that my washer has no agitator, and so the powder sometimes doesn’t dissolve completely when sprinkled on top of the clothes. But there is a method to help powder dissolve for those with no washer agitator! If you instead, sprinkle the powder along the sides of the washer where the water comes down, it DOES dissolve & no issues with clumping. Also, as others have contested to, this commercial bulk’s powdered crystals have a MUCH FINER consistency than the boxes I buy at dept stores. Meaning these WILL dissolve much more easily. Tried and tested. As far as cost—you pay more upfront with this commercial bulk, but it will even out. I was buying smaller boxes more frequently at a lower price point, but I will still eventually pay this price anyway for the same quantity. The bulk price point was my only initial hesitation! However, I am seeing that bulk detergent is way more convenient since laundry detergent isn’t the highest priority to remember to buy/restock when grocery shopping. ... show more

Powdered laundry detergent got to be surprisingly expensive in the store. Found this and haven’t looked back. It’s a good detergent for a good price.

Smell is subtle but it seems to clean well. Bought back in early November and am still using the same box. Lasts about 7 months for a 2 person household. ~$70/ year is a great bargain for laundry detergent. I don’t plan to switch anytime soon.
