This hose is indestructible! It's the perfect length for small gardens, use inside a backyard greenhouse, or for if you need an unperforated extension for drip hoses. My only concern with this hose and others with similar diameter is that it does not allow the water pressure to be sufficient enough to run my pressure washer.     • Lightweight and no kinks!
I can't decide what I like best about this hose--the weight or the metal coil structure. I'm just glad that I don't have to make a choice and can enjoy both benefits. I have found pulling my traditional rubber hose across my lawn to the farthest flower beds harder and harder as the years have gone by. The hose is easier to move when it isn't full off water; however, if I move it before turning on the water, I have to walk back to the house to turn the spigot on. I tried a lightweight fabric coiled hose, which worked well...for one season. When I brought it out this year and hooked it up, it had a major leak near the point of attachment. Since the leak was somewhere internal, I tossed it and investigated this steel version because I consider those hoses too expensive to replace yearly. I was a bit dubious that it would weigh less than my rubber hose of the same length, but I did a comparison of lifting both and the steel hose is noticeably lighter. As for those metal coils, I consider it obvious that they will be more durable than the fabric expandible hose but I suspect that it will hold up better than my traditional rubber hose that I had to repair last year by cutting out the punctured section and purchasing a coupler. Still, that's not even the main reason I like those coils. They don't kink! I've yet to move a traditional rubber hose for any stretch of space without a bend that cuts off the water...often multiple times. It's the main reason for my wanting to eliminate traditional rubber hoses from my life...which I will now do once I get a longer stainless steel to couple with this one so that I can water those faraway beds. ... show more

I like Stainless Steel Metal Garden Hose. It’s light weight, flexible, easy to bend around or thread through plantings and tight spots, and DOES NOT kink. It’s all good – except for length. I wish it was longer. So I will add more pieces until I have enough.

    • It's a shiny hose!

This is a nice hose. It has quality fittings on both sides and the pack includes extra rubber washers and some thread tape. The hose comes fully assembled with all attachments and gaskets in place. So, I'm really not sure what the thread tape is for, but you have it so your installation options are covered, whatever you plan on using this hose for. The hose took a bit of getting used to. I pull around a LOT of hose (oldschool rubber hose). SO the 15ft length was just attached to a longer hose, but I noticed that the hose was light and flexible. It was easy to maneuver in the grass and around trees. When coiling and uncoiling it does get tied in a knot easily, but very easily is untied. The hose doesn't kink, but it does try and hold some of its coil, so you do have to twist it a bit and get it to lay straight. The hose cleans up nicely. I ended up dragging it through some mud and was worried it was going to get dirt and sand in the grooves of the metal, but a quick rinse and it seems like it's back to normal. The 15ft version seems like it is light and moves easily. It has a good flow of water through it, so I don't notice much pressure loss. I think I need to get a 50ft or 100ft version and see how much easier this is to drag around and water trees when compared to my rubber hose. I am happy with this hose. ... show more

    • Flexible, durable, and just fantastic overall!
I needed a short stretch of hose to get from the tap around the corner of my house and attach to a soaker hose and saw this and thought if its durable and as flexible as they claim this would be perfect to snake around some stuff and strong enough to where I could weed eat without worrying about messing up the hose. Well, they were right! I have this hose following the foundation of the house, around the outdoor ac unit, and up to my tomatoes. This thing is so easy to snake in different directions it feels almost like a slinky that doesn't stretch but can be maneuvered in all kinds of directions and never lose pressure. Just for giggles I did lawn work and used a weed eater on top of and against this hose. The weed eater string didnt survive but the hose did and it pumped water no issue the entire time. No damage to the hose at all. Honestly when I first pulled this out of the package i thought I accidentally ordered a metal shower hose for a shower head. Thats EXACTLY what this seems like but garden hose sized. And honestly I wish I had more like these because now that I think of it I havent seem to be able to kink it even with twisting it around and all over the place. Its super durable ... show more

    • At a short length, great as a "prefix" to my long garden hose.
The metal (surrounded) hose is great connected to my long (50 ft) garden hose which I use for washing my motorhome and car. As I maneuver around the vehicles the standard hose has a tendency to kink, especially at the spigot end, and then "shut off" the water as I move around and pull on it. Connecting this hose to the spigot lengthening it with the standard hose eliminates that problem, as this supported hose does not kink up the same way when pulling against the spigot. Around here (sunny southwest) If you leave it outside, the outer metal skin also protects it better against the UV rays of the sun, so it should stay alive longer. The fittings are good, and I experience no leaks even though this is connected to the longer hose. Highly recommended. ... show more
