I have had this tank for over a month now. It is perfect and fit on my nightstand. The lighting is amazing and versatile. I know Betas should have a 5 gallon minimum but I love this tank and couldn't resist. My Beta, Simon, is thriving. Just realize because of it's small size your tank accessories have to be limited. It's a strong glass aquarium. The filter does make a small hum but to me it's peaceful. The lighting is 3 different light settings, darker bright white and soft light, with 9 dimmer settings per light setting.Makes me want more betas with more of these tanks. ... show more

This fish tank is extremely sturdy and the value for the money that it cost is really good. The lid loosely fits and allows for you to feed the fish through a small slit in the front. The filter seems to work great and is easily removed for cleaning. It is just the right size to fit on my countertop. The aesthetics are amazing and I highly recommend this product for anybody who is looking for a simple and modern fish tank for a small space. No matter how nice or aesthetically pleasing this tank may look, let this be your warning. I purchased this tank on March 11, 2026, and by April 12, the filter had already stopped working. Since I was just outside Amazon’s 30-day return window, I was told I couldn’t return it. A representative advised me to purchase a replacement filter and said I could call back afterward for a credit or refund for the cost. However, when I later contacted Amazon again, multiple representatives told me that was never something they could do and that I had been given incorrect information. After replacing the filter, the light system began flickering and then stopped working completely only days later — all within less than two months of owning the tank. I was ultimately directed to contact the third-party seller/manufacturer, but despite multiple attempts through Amazon messages and email, I never received a response. It’s incredibly disappointing that an $80 tank could fail this quickly with no real support or resolution. What started as a beautiful tank quickly became a frustrating waste of money. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you’re prepared to replace parts almost immediately. ... show more

My kids love that their Betta has a new home. In a small condo, this works perfectly (width-wise) on a pony wall. Added some live plants and some Tetras, and they're all happy in there. I've read some other reviews before buying this, and some things just aren't true. The filter strength can be adjusted with a small lever at the bottom. At the highest setting, yes it can be a little too much for anything living inside. At its lowest setting though, it gently pours water over, ZERO noise, and the suction from the bottom pump does not harm any fins at all, even when they're touching it directly. Also, there is no mirror reflection from the fish's perspective. A person outside of the tank can see a reflection if they're looking through 2 panels at the same time. It's an optical illusion. A feeding hole through the top cover would be nice, but not the end of the world. I use the designed slit or just lift the cover up. Overall, a good tank for a small setup. ... show more

If you are like me and don’t like seeing cords, this tank is a good option. Even with adding additional accessories, like a heater and bubbler, the lines can be hidden behind the filter with a little effort. The lights work well, have many brightness/temp settings, and a timer. The filter runs quietly. I did add a carbon filter pack to keep it clean longer. One star deducted because one filter pump stopped working within a month. It was an easy fix, with a new rotor. This is a great setup for someone wanting something simple, low maintenance, and aesthetically pleasing. ... show more

Awesome little tank that looks great too, exactly what I was looking for but couldn't seem to find. Could be considered a bit small for a betta, but with routine maintenance and good care they will be fine in it. Despite what other reviewers have said, I actually like the filter. It's just an $8 water pump connected to a plastic housing that's filled with a sponge, but you can stuff it with whatever kind of filter media you want. And if the pump dies, it's inexpensive to replace with one of the million exact knockoffs on Amazon. The only thing I didn't like about it was the "feed hole" which is just a gap where one of the glass walls is shorter than the rest. Not really my style so I cut a piece of acrylic to silicone over the gap. ... show more

Was looking to purchase a 5 gallon tank for my desktop mystery snails rather than the tall 6 gallon I had been using. Only to discover that this is not a 5 gallon tank. I didn’t come close to emptying the 5 gallon jug of RO water for the tank. This tank is more like a three gallon. I have two other 5 gallon Betta aquariums that will use my other 5 gallon jugs of RO water. They are also heavy and take care to move for maintenance while this tank is especially light, even when full of water. So no, it’s not a 5 gallon tank! I removed a star for that. I also removed a star for the poor filter that comes with the tank. All it contained was a black sponge which is not sufficient to properly filtrate an aquarium. Thankful my snails already had a good filter that works fine with this tank. I do however like that the lid is completely removable to maintain the tank. Which was one of the factors why I chose this particular tank. Given that this tank is not the size advertised and has a cheap filter, it is priced too high. ... show more
