Pleased to have these after previously just "balancing" cars on the jack point. I appreciate that these allow me to place more accurately and it feels like things are more secure. I also feel better than I'm not going to accidentally roll the weaker metal around the lift point.

I own a vehicle that has a frame seam that is easily folded over with a jack or lift, this product is designed precisely to overcome this issue. I use these with both jack stands and hydraulic jacks, and although it is likely best suited to a lift (square lift point versus round plate), they work fine. It is worth noting that these are made of rubber, and smell like a tire factory when you open them up, which is not the most pleasant scent. I would recommend leaving these open outside or in your garage for a while if the smell bothers you..

I do regular work on my cars, so I have a few different jacks, depending on the job. All of my jacks have a steel head that pushes up on the bottom of the car. As cars have become cheaper, the materials have become weaker and I've noticed that the jacks tend to make indentions in the underside of the car. The metal on metal also scratches away the undercoating, which leads to rust. These are very simple to use. Just place the rubber pad between the jack and the car. It spreads out the pressure, which reduces the chance of denting the underside, and keeps the metal jack from touching the car, so it won't get scratched. There is a groove in the rubber pad which is nice. Most cars have a ridge under them where you are supposed to jack it up. The pad's groove aligns to the ridge and helps keep it more stable. I used the pads thiss weekend on two cars. One is more lightweight, around 3,000 pounds. The other is a desan, around 6,000 pounds. They handled each of them easily and did not appear to crack or tear in any way.

I ordered these jack/lift pads to try them out on my jack and 2 post lift. These work good enough for light use. There is a good bit of flex to them, not that sturdy. I can fold them using just my weaker hand. I think they would easily get cut in half on larger vehicles. Maybe if they didn't have that 1/8in lip on the bottom. I'll cut one off and see if it improves them. They do work good on my large floor jack that has a solid metal base. Still flex when in use, as seen in my pictures. But better than nothing.
