It’s doing its job without issue, and I’m genuinely pleased with it. Even more than that, I’m grateful for how Safemo treated me. Naomi turned a painful situation into a redemptive one. Because of that, I’ll be looking to Safemo first when I need other tech in the future. They’ve earned my trust. If you’re wondering whether this company stands by its products, the answer is yes. A variety of minor issues...but overall I'm happier than with my Google Nest cams. I installed these a couple days ago. You have to pop the batteries out and they have a USB-c plug on the battery itself to charge them. One battery never indicated full charge overnight until I unplugged and replugged it. Once they were charged I spent a little time setting them up. They didn't seem to want to turn on. I fiddled around with them a bit, pushing on the battery to ensure it had a good contact inside the camera. They finally powered up. They were pre-paired to the base. I had trouble getting one of them to show up in the app. Video didn't want to start. Rebooting the app a couple times made it work again. They behaved differently with respect to lighting up when they were on, even though the settings were identical - again, an app reboot seemed to clear it up. Mounting was pretty straight-forward, though I seemed to lose connection again. Walked one back near the router and it was fine. Went back out to the mount point and it seemed to hold ok this time. I am disappointed with the flexibility once mounted. You cannot point them down at an angle very well - it's really either down, or sideways, but not both together much at all. The app needs a little work - some parts are not intuitive. One place you can click on the camera and get settings, another place you click for camera and there are no settings. Some recordings seem to randomly vanish or be missed. There is a short delay to load live video. Resolution is nice and clear. The automatic record length isn't really satisfactory for me, but so far it gets the idea across of what's happening. The AI for recognition is just OK. It hasn't made any show-stopping mistakes, but the cat crossing in front of the camera may get detected as a vehicle. :D It's pretty good with differentiating between the dog and a person. You can delete videos, but you have to individually select which ones to delete - you can't "select all" for a day and just clean them out. Select 5-7 at a time, delete, select more, delete, etc. Inviting a family member to access the cameras with their own account was not satisfactory. There needs to be levels of invited roles, but there is not. The invited user cannot see history from before they were invited (maybe ok). They cannot adjust notifications on the cameras like the main user. No access to settings of any kind. After a day of operation and several dozen clips recorded, the batteries still report 100% - so that is promising! I look forward to seeing how these hold up! *** Update *** Customer service was responsive within a day (even on a holiday) and explained where to 'Select all' for deleting videos. I still agree with others that there is good potential here. This needs more polish in both software and hardware to justify the price point - that may come with updates to this existing firmware/software. Connection with other items like Google Home was unclear in the instructions. It does clearly say at least that the motion sensors should work, but video will not, and it seems to imply you need a separate Matter hub, and that the camera hub does not qualify for that. It did not matter to me - if I can't get video on Google home, I'm not going to mess with the motion detection.

ese cameras arrived fast! Thetlyvwere easy to install with easy to understand instructions. The quality of the recordings are excellent. I use them inside and outside my business to keep security tight. Recently, I was burglarized and the perpetrators were easily identified by my cameras.

First Impressions of Safemo 4K Wireless Security Camera System, 180-Day Batter Life, Color Night Vision, Local AI & Storage, Built-in Siren, 2-Way Audio, No Monthly Fee, Outdoor/Indoor, 2-Camera & Hub Set P1 ⭐⭐⭐2.5-stars ✅ Extremely full-featured, checks all the boxes ✅ Beautifully manufactured, top notch touch and feel ✅ Long life battery and can be plugged in (solar or USB-C power source) ✅ Includes a complete kit - mounting hardware, cables ✅ ¼”-20 female screw mount - will mount on camera tripods, equipment ✅ Strong operational range ✅ Extreme wide angle nearly 180 degree coverage ❌ Camera is not adequate ❌ Unlikely to be a 4k camera - only 4k FEED (minus 1-star) ❌ Low FPS (frames per second) especially in low light (minus 1-star) ❌ Lacks manual focus controls - no auto-focus (minus ½ star) ❌ SLOW like a turtle - start up, discovering devices, connecting to live view ❌ Battery door is too frail ❌ Mounting screw on bracket falls out ❌ Does not seem to work without internet ❌ Instructions need improvement ❌ System needs refinement On paper, this camera system is a beast. However, in real deployment, this is thanksgiving dinner with all the sides but the turkey and ham are missing – no meat, all the other trimmings. I ordered this camera system in hopes of catching the bad guys. I live in the city on a busy street with constant activity. Porch pirate thieving is rampant, car crashes at the intersection, and vagrants yanking on front doors looking for easy burglary. I needed a camera to be able to catch the act in motion and also be able to identify the perpetrators. Normally, I highlight the pros and cons of the products I evaluate. However for this Safemo camera surveillance system, a full review would run the length of a mile. I’m just going to highlight my main feelings. My BIGGEST complaint is the image and motion image. This camera is definitely NOT putting out a sharp 4k image. The focus point is similar to a door bell camera – as the distance increases beyond 10 feet, images get blurry. I am unable to read license plates on a parked car from 25 feet away, in mid-day lighting, due to pixelation, graininess and image artifacts. We won’t even discuss moving objects - since it is just one big blur. Law enforcement requires identifiable images and this product only produces marginal details. I tried to deploy this system without internet in a closed network environment – without success. I think this is very important because if there is an outage, I still want to be able to see who is approaching my house. I have my network running on UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) units. Setting up this system should have been easier than it was. The processors inside are slow. In fact, it was so slow that I thought it wasn’t working. The instructions were not written well enough to answer questions that came up – I felt aggravated during the setup process. I am a professionally trained photographer and worked as a technologist for over two decades. This product at the current price point feels disappointing to me. It is beautifully created to compete in the main retail space but does not perform to a serious standard. I understand the average person wants color images, but I think if the camera was switched to a black and white unit, for security and surveillance purposes, this camera would be much more viable. If over long term use, my feelings change about this product, I will update this review. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.
