My 2012 Civic did not have an infotainment system or backup camera. This smart mirror with front and rear dash cams solved so many problems for me! First off, it mounted directly to our existing rear view mirror perfectly. Not only is it easy to use and the picture clear and bright, but it actually helps me see details using the cameras that the human eye can't see, especially at night. You can easily access the recorded dash cam footage through the mirror itself or remove the SD card and download it to your computer, plus custom set the duration of the videos. The Android Auto function works really well and has no problem syncing with my Galaxy S21 Ultra. The backup camera wasn't hard to install using the included instructions. The touch screen functions quickly and is very sharp and clear. But the best part is you have the display right there where you can see it and don't have to fumble around on the dashboard to use a screen that's lower, taking your eyes off the road. You can even set it to split the screen into sections. On the left I have my music or podcast apps, in the center is Google Maps or can be Waze if you prefer, and to the right is the backup camera, but you can full-screen the front or rear camera view if you like. The backup camera goes full-screen automatically when in reverse if you wire it direct with the red wire included to the backup bulb's positive wire, which is easier than it sounds, and you get guide lines for parking. There are so many customization settings for this device! I bought a longer extension cable than the AUX cable supplied to wire the device's AUX output directly to the car's sound system AUX input for the best sound, just tucked the cord away in the A-pillar seam with the power cord. The power cord plugs into your 12V socket and has a USB A port for charging so you don't lose the ability to charge your phone. In our area in a large city there were stations close together on the FM the dial that sometimes bled over wherever you used the FM output channel to connect to your audio system, but using either method the sound from my Pandora and other music is terrific. After going without a dash cam and infotainment screen for over a decade in the Civic, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would definitely buy it again!

This thing had saved me in a accident when I got rear-ended it's severely helped my case improving the other driver at fault, when the camera detects anything suspicious as in crashes or incidents it saves it to a separate secured folder that nothing can be delivered from because as you know in order to keep recording ass to delete old videos well when accidents occur it saves them in a separate folder so they can't be deleted which is an awesome future, the picture quality is great in the front the rear is also really well except for at night it's kind of hard to see but other than that I would say it's so pretty good quality anyone out there that drives in crazy cities or states with people who are just born idiots and should not be driving I highly recommend you get this for your car especially in no fault States it would 100% be worth the money

Ordered this because this was one of the few ones that met all my needs since I have an older car and didn't want to spoil the dash by mounting a screen: * wireless android auto * FM transmitter * Dash camera * most importantly - out of dashboard Screen is not a replacement for rear view mirror but this works just fine but then again I rely more on side mirrors.

Been using this for a month. I like that it gives an updated bit of tech to an old truck... but... The Bluetooth Android Auto connection is finicky. Only automatically connecting to my phone 50% of the time, even though my phone will show it's connected. They have an alternative "superconnect" feature, but I won't use that as it looks pretty sketchy and has no business accessing all of my phones data. But because I only depend on the android auto occasionally, I'll just ignore it and sometimes it'll connect on its own. I would normally be annoyed, but I wasn't holding my breath it would be the most amazing device ever created. HOWEVER... the one thing I do find mildly annoying is that I can't show both the Map/Nav and rear view camera at the same time. That I suspect is a limitation of Android Auto, but I can just swipe on the mirror manually if needed. I do love the 4K rear camera image quality, although pretty useless when headlights are pointed at it. I REALLY REALLY wish they'd have provided an extra few feet on both camera and power wires, Or at least an extension kit option, as both runs were literally 6" too short for the ideal install path on my early model Titan Crew Cab. All in all, I got it to have front and rear recordings as people seem to be driving in an increasingly reckless manner, and I'm doing my best to avoid them. It'll be nice to know if I do get hit one of these days, I'll have some footage to help with insurance claims. I may invest in a better unit eventually, but pleased with the cost and quality of this one so far. Will update if that changes.

I drive a police SUV and cannot see through the rear view mirror because of the partition. I picked this up so that I can see behind me, and it fits the bill. I mounted the camera INSIDE of the cab so that I'm still seeing out of the back window, and the window tint cuts down a bit on the glare at night of headlights. I do not use the Appleplay or the forward camera. While the quality is not the same as a real mirror, of course, it does well enough to do what I need it to. IT's easily installed and removed, and I think it took me about ten minutes to put it in. Overall it's a very good value, and if you have a vehicle without the ability to use the rearview, this is a no brainer.
