Insanely fast, tons of power at higher RPMs.
So this is my third or fourth custom e-bike build. My first e-bike I used a mid drive motor which has the advantage of going through your gears so you can use the full range, like the way cars have transmissions to use the full range of speed along the range of RPM. My wife's bike has a geared front hub motor of only about 500 Watts which is plenty for her. This bike has a rear 1500 W hub motor and the motor is a fixed gear. What that means is that at higher speeds it has more power and can go faster, which I can confirm over 35 mph which is crazy fast on a bike, but at lower speeds it does not have the same torque as a geared motor would. This is why I opted for the 1500 W motor instead of the 1000 W motor so that at slower speeds I would have more torque. I knew the trade-offs between geared and direct drive motors and this hardtail bike is for commuting to work as quickly as I can. One thing that I like about this over my mid drive when it was on the same bike other than the increased speed limit, was the fact that my mid-drive pushed on the chain where my legs assisted and the combination of torque on the chain with the biggest sprocket in front and the smallest sprocket in the rear, made the rear sprocket jump teeth because of the torque and strain on it because the smallest sprocket in the rear makes you go the fastest but also has the least amount of teeth gripping the chain to spread out that torque and so it was causing the chain to jump which was very annoying so there was a limit to the amount of torque I could pedal. With this very powerful motor on the rear I'm able to give it all the beans and get up to speed quickly while continuing to pedal with as much or as little of my legs through the chain system adding more speed to the system and giving me a great workout on my commute to work. I have not ridden to work yet but so far from my particular needs for speed and high torque for commuting, I'm glad I went with a direct drive motor. As advertised it is quiet but it is also super heavy. I measured my spacing on my back wheel and the motor seemed to be smaller and I had to push on the frame outwards so that I can get this wheel on. I hope this does not cause a stress fracture on my frame at all in the rear. For this 1500 W motor you're going to need a really big beefy battery. Get at least a 17 amp hour battery because it's going to pull a ton of current, up to 35 amps. I'm waiting on my battery shell to come in from AliExpress so I can populate it with about 70 21700 lithium cells. As far as my display, this is the second bike that I got the five display, I think it's like M5 or something like that, because it has a large beautiful display and it's easy to read during the daytime and at night. Even though I ordered the right pedal assist sensor I installed the free Left one after cutting away four out of six plastic protrusions so that it would slip over top of my bottom bracket pedal crank.

A very nice ebike conversion kit
This turned out to be a wonderful product. I love this conversion kit very much. The batteries by the same company (Varstrom) are great as well. Once I figured out how to get it running, it has been a wonderful ebike.

The Biggest Headache
First the kit is sent without a battery so I have to message them to send me another. After 3 weeks of waiting for the whole order to arrive, I finally put it together and the hub motor is defective. I've been in contact for a while now and have only been asked the same questions I already had answered when I looked at their troubleshooting. It doesn't feel like there is any real push to get any of my issues resolved so the best I can do is just recommend you dont buy this product.

Missing parts
Mine did not come with a headlight. Was disappointed because that was the thing that made me choose this over a different brand. *Update* After speaking with a representative, they mailed out the missing parts and I received it after about 5 days. I installed everything and it works well.

Wheel and spokes are junk. Motor is crazy fast.
Bought this front wheel kit for a beach cruiser conversion and spokes were out of tune within two rides and took to shop. Mechanic asked if i had done the spokes myself, i said no came that way. He then explained the spoke and nipple is the wrong size for the rim and there was already stress marks on the rim. The motor works well but cant find anyone who sells just the housing and wheel for replacement, so now i have to have a custom rim and spokes made that isnt junk for the housing…may as well buy a full bike from somewhere legit.

Good customer service
I purchased 2 units from these folks. Still testing and I wouldnt be able to post a real review until I put a couple thousand miles on it. I did have some minor issues and so far I've found customer service to be exemplary. So at least they stand behind their products and always communicate quickly. So far so good.

Meh quality.
I bought the front hub that's 1000 W. I'm a little disappointed. I find the hub to be kind of noisy and it creates a lot of vibration at certain power settings. Also the spokes became out of tune immediately. I am having to have that repaired. No, I didn't damage it by hitting a bump. It just seemed to be out of tune out of the box.

This is the 4th hub I have bought from Amazon It's the cheapest price And it's actually amazing Ultra quiet and very efficient i got the 700c (28")1500 0n a ancher 27.5 frame You will have to have a display to turn it on so order that I'll definitely be buying several more of em soon E-G
