I ordered these black file folders because I needed a change from all of the manila folders in my life. My files looked so drab with just the manila folders and I needed some color added to it. I saw these folders and just loved the look of them. When they arrived they were so dark and smooth to the touch. I love the contrast between the black and manila folders in my drawer. I used a white marker when labeling the files and it just made them pop even more! I loved the quality of these folders and the price was a steal. I mean $19.99 for 120 file folders!!

File Folders the Guys Won’t Complain About

I got these because my collection of pink file folders was becoming a problem for the men in my house. Every time I made a file for my husband or son, they ended up with a lovely pink folder whether they liked it or not. These blue folders finally gave them an alternative, and I really like the quality. They’re very sturdy, the tabs make labeling and organizing everything easy, and 120 folders should last me quite a while. Now my files can still be pink, while the guys can have their much more “acceptable” blue ones. Everyone wins!

Poor quality. Variations in color and size.

Poor quality control on these file folders. I received the correct number of folders. The paper that these are made of feels almost plastic-like. I can write on this with a pen and a Sharpie, but both smear even after drying a few minutes. I used a sticky label and that stayed great, and I was also able to remove it without damaging the folder. I ordered these file folders in blue. Not all of the folders are the same shade of blue. Some of the folders are taller than the others. Considering the quality of these folders, they are overpriced.

A useful bulk pack for keeping paperwork organized

I ordered these file folders because I needed a large supply for organizing paperwork and school documents without spending a lot on individual packs. Getting 120 folders is especially useful when you have a lot of papers to sort, and the blue color makes it easy to keep one type of paperwork together. My first impression was that the folders were lightweight but perfectly adequate for everyday filing. I have been using them for organizing school papers, documents, and other household paperwork. The standard 8.5 by 11 inch size fits regular printer paper without needing to fold anything, and the 1/3 cut tabs make it easy to label different categories. Having 120 folders means I can create separate files instead of stuffing everything into a few overfilled folders. The folders are not especially thick, so I would not expect them to hold extremely heavy stacks of paperwork without bending. For normal filing, though, they work well and are easy to handle. For the quantity, I think they offer good value, especially for a homeschool, home office, classroom, or business that goes through a lot of folders. These are best for anyone who needs an affordable bulk supply of standard file folders for school, home, office, or business paperwork.

Great Value for Nice Colorful Folders

These folders completely earned their five star rating. We are always in the market for folders. We usually purchase manila folders instead of colorful ones because they are cheaper. These blue folders showed up in my search and I was surprised at the price—these were less per unit than even the plain utilitarian folders! The order came quickly—I counted and we received all 120 folders, 40 of each tab alignment. I got yet another surprise: these feel like they are coated or made with something that make them durable. I tear-tested them: they are indeed a little harder to tear than the basic manila folders. I pulled an the sides, and there was a little snap with resistance when I tore. I concluded that it will takes a little extra effort to tear the folders—you have to give it a little extra pull. I also folded one corner of a flap—the fold was even and crisp. I value durability but that sometimes means it is more difficult to use a pen on the tab. I am happy to report that I’m able to use pens and sharpies to label tabs and mark both inside and outside. The cardstock is light/medium-weight and flexible, but not made for putting fasteners along the top—it would sag if you want to use it for that kind of document storage (although I did not try that). Also, the cardstock is not solid core, meaning that you will see the white inside if you punch, fold, or tear it. That’s not an issue for us—we are not making art out of our folders! The folders are standard letter size and are identical to regular 1/3 cut tab folders, with 3 widening scores, which is the minimum I need for thick folders. The folders are cut so that the tab is integral to the folder and not re-enforced. At this point it’s hard to know if that will be an issue later. Unlike what’s shown in the listing, the blue color is the same on the inside as the outside. This means I can easily reverse the folders to reuse or change the tab orientation. Bottom line: I have no negatives to report with these folders. At this price point, they are a great value and perform as well or better for paper filing than the folders we usually buy. Plus, they are a lovely blue color! Based on my evaluation and testing, I will be buying more and in different colors.
