I have always been frustrated with the seal/sound bleed around my window air conditioning units. I bought these to try and block it out. It worked okay. I used 2 on either side of the units in most windows that had AC units. I put the bumpy sides facing each other so they "locked" together and used clear, weather stripping tape to seal the edges. I placed them in front of the accordion style flaps on either side of the AC units (on the inside/home portion, NOT the exterior of the house). I think it worked okay. It was ultimately better than in past years where I had little to nothing additional around the AC units. I also used the foam strips that came with the units as well as additional ones I purchased to place in the gap between the opened bottom window pane (under which the AC unit was) and top pane and taped over that as well (in past years I only used the foam strip between the window panes - no tape).

Basically got what I expected to and at a reasonable price. I will say that like another reviewer pointed out, some of the pieces don’t exactly match the color of the other pieces. I’m not using this as acoustic foam and so I’m not concerned about all of the pieces matching but I could see how could be a concern for some. I used the foam for padding my headphone case and it worked great for my purposes. It was pretty easy to work with and cut with a sharp razor. I can’t speak to its acoustic properties but I have to imagine they work to some degree and for the price and what I used it for I can still recommend it.

I wanted a discreet bag for my PCC so people wouldn't try to steal it. Grabbed a cheap tennis racket bag and lined it with this to keep my PCC safe while I carried it around. Works well, very soft, and hugs my PCC so it doesn't move around in the bag.

Quality - These are 1.25" Panels, they are NOT 2". They are only 2 in when you put them together. See pictures. Sounds quality - again, they are only 1.25, not 2". They absorb only a small amount of sound. These panels do not have adhesion.

I never liked just throwing several tools into an open bag and having them bang around and scratch or mar each other. So I got the idea to use the foam pads to sort of make layers. I cut them to size and make a few layers; one to pad the hard bottom and a couple to place between tools. Sure, it takes a few seconds to get tools out or replace them, but it keeps them nice and even more organized. There are probably many ways you could use these like that and, with the ones I have left over, that's what I'll look for. Recommended for various uses.
