*editing* Spoke with customer service- they were excellent. They went above and beyond to try and make it right! While it’s not the black that I wanted, a brand new silver one will be perfect for the fireplace area! Bought this one due to size and color. The size is perfect and exactly what I wanted. Easy to put together. Little flimsy, maybe just the thickness of the metal. The black coloring burned off within seconds of a fire. Now it is a plain gray colored fire ring.

All the panels come with a shrink-wrap coating on the finish side...and it's a pain in the butt to remove. Then, having laboriously removed it, on the first use, about a quarter to a third of the painted finish on the exterior of the fire pit burned/flaked off! So it now looks like a silver-splotchy mess in the yard. On the plus side, it stayed together and did actually work as a fire ring, so there's that. But as for "looking pretty in the yard" yeah, you can forget that if you actually use it for its allegedly designed intent - as a fire ring.

I purchased this fire pit about a month ago. Fairly easy to assemble, tons of wing nuts but easy enough. First fire, did great. Second fire, all the black paint melted off, left with ugly galvanized ring. Third fire, metal literally started melting and collapsing around the top. I would strongly discourage purchasing this product. Unsafe, unsightly, and a waste of money.

This little metal package was awesome.it took no time at all to put together and ALL THE Nuts and Bolts were there. This ring will be used for burning, I will definitely buy more of these for our mountain home for planting and even keeping my small animals in when outside
