It's a nice heavy table for its size but if you put anything on it other than dead center that is light, it will flex to the point where in worried it will buckle and drop food on the floor. It's obvious you shouldn't lean your elbows on a table like this but it should be able to hold up your typical casserole on the sides without sagging 4 to 5 degrees, similar to a cheap foldout. I ended up modifying it with some IKEA legs and now it is usable. As for the surface, the reason I gave it an extra star is because it is solid with a good texture. If the build quality was as good as the table surface and top weight this would be 5 star. what a shame. ... show more

I needed a fairly inexpensive table that would fit 5/6 people in a smaller space and this did the job. The legs are made out of a metal type material but look nice and the table top was pretty solid. It was heavier than I thought it would be - which was good. I used this as a learning experience for my 15 year old son who had never built anything like this before. I was there to supervise, offer guidance, answer questions, and lend an extra hand when needed. It took him a little over an hour to build. An extra hand is helpful when building this but I think experienced builders could probably get it done alone if they had to. The only thing is, I would take half a star off if I could since it did turn out a little wobbly. Rather than take it apart and try to troubleshoot it that way, I put some cardboard shims under a couple of the legs and called it a day. (Please excuse the mess in the picture and the mix matched chairs- we are still moving in and I will eventually be saving up to get some different - and matching - chairs. But, for now we can all finally fit at the same table so, I'm happy) ... show more

Nice table as far as looks and very easy to assemble, but the main issue is the quality. I’ve only had the table for 3 days and it has already started to warp.
