My husband is battling Parkinson's and we need to adapt in multiple ways to give him the best quality of life. This desk chair contributes quite a bit to that. It is large and while Hubby weighs just over 200 lbs, the wider seat and broader back, support him better than some flimsy model chair. The arm rests fold up and on really bad days that means Hubby can transfer himself from the wheelchair into the desk chair. The lumbar support is not the greatest but it is adjustable via a little pump that stores in a pocket on the seat. The seat portion and back are supportive and there is very little fatigue. This is a new chair and as such no real long term testing has been done so I will assist here. Yes it is comfortable. Yes the foldable arms are about 6 to 8 inches too short. The back of this chair is only supported by the plastic sides. There is NO steel support in the center middle that attaches to both the seat and back for support. This is a very poor designed chair for larger people and will fail you if you like to lean back and are a LARGE person. We are keeping the chair but it is a POOR design ... show more

I received my new chair today, It took me awhile since I am an old senior female of 83 years old to get it together but I made it. I have a cordless screwdriver but prefer to use the one provided to exercise the hands (at my age) LOL. Its a wonderful chair. The only thing I can't figure out is how to get the back more to the front. I like to sit straight up at my desk not laid back and the back is too far back for me. I am 5'9" tall and weight about 225 (like to eat) and the seat up and down is great. Only want the back to come forward more, I have turned the knob underneath but seems to not do anything to get the back forward. I guess I will email the seller to see if they can give me info regarding how to forward the back. All parts were included, instructions were clear, and it took me a while to get the back on but I did it. I love the chair. The seat is very comfortable as well as that device to pump out for the lower back. And it rolls really easy on my tile floors. I think I could go for a ride in this. LOL. Great item! ... show more

Material is soft. Assembly was easy. It is really made for Big and Tall. I am about 5'9" and seat is little longer for me..for people above 6ft or with ko g legs this would work perfectly!
