Here in sunny humid central Florida. Where your a/c works hard to remove the humidity. Prior to using this humidity in the house was around 55-60 now with this its around 40-50. Doesn't sound like much but makes it more enjoyable for sure. Have to empty twice a day. Which I thought would be enough for a day. Wish would have got a bigger tank. It has an outlet for a hose but I can't think of a good place to set this up at. Oh well emptying twice a day is not that bad. It is a little noisy so I hooked up a wifi outlet on it to turn off if I am watching a show. Otherwise is a great sound machine. Recommend for anyone wanting to reduce humidity in thier home

I run a dehumidifier in my shop in Maine to prevent precision tools, machines and equipment from rusting. Sometimes temperatures are cold and it is always humid. When an older dehumidifier quit, I ordered this from Amazon as the brand I had been using was no longer available. I removed the old unit, rolled this one into place and connected to an existing floor drain. I set the humidity level to 35% and let it run overnight. Ever since, shop humidity has been in the 34%-36% range. The unit is very quiet, turns on and off infrequently to maintain the proper humidity level and is trouble free. The unit is small compared to the prior unit, about 2/3 the size, but its construction is hefty, well made. It has wheels, so easy to move around. Heat generation is minimal. It is an attractive unit and blends in with other shop equipment. Nice display, including one in large characters at the front of the unit, making it easy to monitor. Digital controls are self explanatory. The unit can run continuously, or auto run to a specified level of humidity. It also has a dryer mode.

Edited March 2025: the one item I first got wasn’t working but I received a replacement one less than a week later and this one is working as intended. I’m grateful of the fast solution and want to update the review accordingly. I’m really appreciative and as a result I’m ordering another one for the other side of the house. Very happy with my choice!! Just received the dehumidifier and at first sight it really looks like a high quality product. The offer in this category is such a wide jungle that it’s a bit confusing. We sure wanted something serious and not a cheap gadget and we were guided by the price. So far so good. Only one star dropped because we wanted to make sure this unit can be controlled remotely from our phone and absolutely nothing on the packaging or on the product itself is referring to this feature. It’s only mentioned on the Amazon description. The manual itself doesn’t even mention if or how to setup this smart device. We learned it in reading the reviews that mentioned the existence of the Smart Life App…. The less we can say is it’s not really “smart”!! Also there is no mention of any means in the manual to get support from the seller… Weird!! We just hope Amazon will be here in case we need assistance…. Edit 1: the WiFi connection “manual” is in the form of a sticker on the bottom side of the dehumidifier… weird. Edit 2: I was quick to post a pretty positive review based of the appearance but the unit I got wasn’t finally not working. The compressor was running but not working. Everything else was fine. I left the unit stand for 25 hours but after running it for the whole night in the bathroom the humidity was still a good constant 76% with no condensation water in the tank. I also noticed that the dashboard dehumidifier light was off whatever the settings. I had to initiate a return for a replacement with Amazon. Despite what some said, there is no way to contact the seller. No phone number, no email. Hopefully Amazon is following up after the sale

I recently finished building a second home which has an unfinished daylight basement. Since I’m not living there full-time yet, I rely on Ecobee thermostats to monitor conditions, and they were consistently reporting high humidity levels—sometimes reaching the 70% range. Knowing I needed to address this quickly, I opted for this dehumidifier, given its advertised capacity of up to 4500 sq ft. With my home, including the basement, totaling around 2000 sq ft, I thought this unit would be more than sufficient. I installed it in the basement using the drain pipe for continuous drainage, and while it does help reduce humidity, it struggles to lower it below 60%. Occasionally, it dips to 58%, but considering its 4500 sq ft capacity claim versus the real-world performance, I’m somewhat disappointed. The ability to control it via an app is convenient, though the software itself is quite basic. As of now, it's keeping the humidity right at the borderline. While I’ve read that 60% is acceptable, the ideal range is closer to 50-55%, and unfortunately, this unit doesn’t quite get there. It also seems to run continuously to hold it at 60%, so I’ll have to wait and see how that impacts my next electricity bill. It works for now, but I suspect I’ll need a more robust solution to truly get the humidity under control.

Buyer beware, I’ve only had this machine for under 4 months and it’s already leaking everywhere, not from canister being full, but the water doesn’t get collected and just leaks out of machine. This was too expensive of a product to only last 4 months. Amazon chat couldn’t help or provide seller contact or warranty info. Sad to say, if you have $200 plus dollars to waste in this economy purchase this at your own risk and don’t bother with amazon for help. What a joke.

Okay I can amend my review, there's a plug in the place you attach the hose to that you have to remove. I've never used a dehumidifier before so I didn't know that was a thing, and the instructions don't mention this as part of the steps to make it continuously drain. Before removal, it looks like it could be just a rubber gasket/part of the piece the hose attaches to, so it was easy to miss. Glad I didn't have to try and return this 🤞
