Really, there is nothing not to like about this product for this price point. In fact, I was more than amazed with the picture quality because I was expecting something less clear due to the price. So, if you are looking for a home projector and do not want to spend much on it, this is your projector. Just be mindful that the picture is best with a completely dark room. The media could not be loaded. I wanted a simple inexpensive video projector for Halloween & Christmas window video projections. I was hoping it could also be used for watching a movie with the family. I was pleasantly surprised it would do all this pretty easily. The attached photo and video is being projected on a piece of large white fabric. It was a photo backdrop set my son ordered years ago and has t been using. The diagonal dimension on the screen of that projection is 10 feet!!! I downloaded some Halloween window projection videos onto a USB drive and could run them fine by plugging in the USB drive. You can select multiple files and they will continually loop. For movies I tried a couple of things. I connected a MacBook Pro via a display port to HDMI adapter. That worked fine. I also attached an older Apple TV (2nd generation) via HDMI and I could watch Netflix movies easily or screen share anything from an iPhone / iPad. The room was probably about 80% dark. You will need it pretty dark for the best picture but I expected that. I’m not sure if it is 4500 lumens as that is not shown on the specs sheet in the manual. I attached a photo of the specs page. It has small speakers but you will want to use something else. Luckily there is an audio out. I attached it wired to my megaboom speaker and it sounded great. The fans are noisy but I’d rather have that so it doesn’t overheat. Just use an external speaker so it drowns out the fan noise. I’ve only had it a couple of days so can’t speak to longevity. But initial impression is positive for a low cost projector for informal movie nights or a window projection system. ... show more

I just got this projector delivered yesterday, and it’s great so far, especially for the price! I was concerned by reviews I saw about the lack of sound, and then it seemed like I was experiencing the same issue. I’d already played around with the sound and other settings, but I’d initially skipped over one in the subset of the sound settings called “Balance” - it comes auto-set to ‘0’. Steps (picture attached): 1. Go to Settings/Press the ‘M’ for menu on the projector. 2. Go to Sound. 3. Sound Setting - Movie (I haven’t tested all the others yet, but this always had the best sound for my other projectors). 4. Balance - Set to the maximum 50 — this is what made the sound actually come in. 5. Turn auto-volume ‘Off’ — this made a huge difference in how loud it was. 6. Surround Sound - SRS TruSound XT Of course, play around with the settings as you see fit! The biggest thing to get the sound working is to increase the balance, and make sure auto volume was ‘Off’. Hope this helps! I’m so happy with it, especially for the price, as this was meant to replace a previous projector I had for my bedroom. I was able to connect my Roku device without issue.     • It’s a good projector
This is a good projector but it is for a really basic use. The projector need to be hooked up by a HMI or USB etc. if you’re looking for something really basic and sample to hook up a fire stick to I just watch TV this is the projector for you.

    • It's a joke
So, we wanted to use this to project on windows for halloween. I knew it wouldn't be the lied about 4500 lumens(or 3500 as stated in details), but it's about 300. I'm a photographer, I use lights all the time. If we had simply used lumens instead of the stupid watts a century ago, everyone would understand how bright things are. I have a couple of lights that are 4000 lumens, they will blind you if you looked at them. In a mostly dark room, I cannot see anything but light colors with this. The remote is a joke. It does not work. you have to press a button 30-40 times before it responds. I used a thumb drive and could not load a 10 second movie. You could only see a preview in this tiny window. So, I guess you need to use your computer and play through HDMI--totally pointless, my computer puts out a brighter and larger image. At 7 feet, the image is about half the size of our 60 inch TV. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. There is absolutely no disappointment here with this. I told my neighbor I wanted one of these and she proceeded to pull her’s out and she said she loved hers. I searched her model because she got the PJ0501 from Amazon. I searched it and this one came up as an upgraded one. I seen the stars it had and seen how many amazing reviews this had. I requested two day shipping and got it in 1!!!! This is the best way to defeat a brand new TV!!! **6/8/2022 Update** So my screen finally showed up for this and the resolution is way better than the light blue ceiling I was using. I also bought a $9.99 ceiling mount for the projector and it’s great! I was able to switch the screen resolution because the ceiling mount is on the bottom. ... show more
