I purchased the 42” fan and had it hung over the dining room table. It does everything it says it does. It provides a beautiful light in three colors, each beautifully highlighting the different colors of the stained glass. It’s not bright-bright but more than bright enough to light up the dining area and then some. Love the retractable fan blades and that I can have both light and fan working or just one or the other. We ordered this fan with light for above the kitchen table. The first one we ordered had a faulty remote which got very hot when we inserted the batteries to the point that it burned the plastic. We asked the company for a new remote, but they insisted we had to send the entire fan back and just order the whole thing agaain. Ok…so this means another electrician bill to take it down and put the new one up, which is a very inefficient way to handle the problem. In any case, since we liked it so much, we did send it back and ordered a new one. Viola!…the new one is perfect and the remote and fan work very well. One of the reasons I bought this Tiffany style fan light was to take advantage of the fan timer. The product description stated that it had a 1/2/4/8 fan timer but does not reveal that you must use the app to have any time other than 2 hours. I do not want to use the app to set my timer, so there is a bit of false advertising here. I will either have to use the 2 hour or just leave it to run all night. This made for a loss of 2 out of 5 review points since this was a selling point for me. My husband installed the fan to replace a current working but out dated fan. It took less than an hour. It seems to work well and is very pretty. The dome is glass, not plastic, as some others have said. One word of advice if you also want to use the wall switch to operate the lighting: pick the one closest to the door, so you can just switch it on when you enter the dark room. ... show more
