I have an old Sears garage door opener that the button to open garage stopped working. This button works great. Only thing you need to do is switch wire to opposite screw and now all 3 buttons work correctly.

This was a replacement of a failed old Craftsman control. Installation was very simple, red wire to #1 terminal and white to #2 just like the original. Also had the same footprint as the older Craftsman controller it was replacing so was able to use the same holes in the wall for attachment.     • Reverse the wires pre-94
Just installed this control panel to replace the failing original doorbell type switch on my 1993 Craftsman opener. Followed the instructions to hook up the 2 wires and while the opener function worked, the light and lock functions did not. In trying to find out why, I removed the circuit card to trace the circuitry, "reverse pre 94" was written on the hidden side. It now works as intended. Four stars is for incomplete instructions, the unit appears to be well made and hopefully will last longer than my ancient opener. (I went back into the reviews afterward and noticed another review also made the same discovery.) ... show more

Works just like the original one. Shipped fast,would recommend. Just for info: this is a two wire, it has 3 ways to wire, instructions are pretty clear,making it easy to install and understand.
