Update: We were initially disappointed because we expected it to work in a handful of hours, like the video for the product shows. It does not. It absolutely will not heat that quickly, especially without a solar cover. That said, if you buy a quality solar pool cover and keep it on when you are not swimming, it will maintain bathwater temperatures in the summer and we got in the pool yesterday evening (October 7) at 88°, which is very comfortable and what we have it set to. We initially set it to 95° and that was too warm during the summer. How efficiently it works depends on average night time temperatures and if you run a fountain, that is going to bring the temperature down. If you leave the cover off one night, it can take anywhere from a few days to over a week for it to build up the heat again. It has some caveats, but for the price, we are pleased with this product. I didn't think it would work well as a season extender, but here we are. One week before our average frost date and still swimming! **********Original Review ************** Either that video review is misleading or I have a dysfunctional unit. I have had this unit hooked up for six days and while the water from the return is slightly warmer, I have not seen any remarkable change in temperature that could not be accounted for by the weather or the solar pool cover.

This is an updated review. When I received it, it wasn't quite heating the pool as much as I needed it to. Turns out it wasn't strong enough to heat a pool of my size. A rep with the company contacted me and offered to send me another model. They sent me another model that is now heating it the way that I want and I am very happy. While new one was being shipped, the rep even helped me research the necessary hardware I would need to get it connected to my pool when I received it. Very good customer service. Would definitely recommend buying from them.

As much as we wanted to love this… it did not work for us. Never heated pool above 70 after 5 days of running consistently. We also have a solar cover and still did not heat properly. At one point it formed a huge ice block and we had to turn off and unplug. We have a 1500 filter and an 18ft above ground pool for reference. It also did not come with proper attachments so we were stuck trying to order additional attachments. Several attempts were made to contact customer service without any help. We had to make the decision to disconnect and return. I did give the product one star for ease of operation. Another helpful tip if you decided to purchase connect product to WiFi before taking to your yard to install… you need a strong connection to link devices.

This was a good find. It came with 2 fillets. The cost was very reasonable for 2. The filter was made with quality in mind although it was not the brand that came with our little pool filter it fits perfect. I saved money by buying this replacement instead of buying a name and this is working better in my opinion

It really works. It's been heating my above ground pool like a champ. I keeps it at about 77 degrees. I wish it could get just a little bit warmer, but so far I've been happy with it.

I was a little bit disappointed with this cover. First of all, it says small and it means it. I mean really small. I have a fairly narrow pool heater and this cover will not even come close. That said, I was warned so I put that a little bit on me. It comes with velcro enclosures and a string for snugging it onto the heater which I thought was pretty good, meaning it's not going to fly off easily in the wind. However, the material seems a bit thin...almost cheap feeling so that I don't think it would hold up more than a year at best. To me, that's makes this almost a disposable cover, good for one season or so and that's it. Not very good. 3 stars from me.
