I bought this for my elderly father who has bad knees and can't walk long distances anymore. I was specifically looking for something safe and manageable for him to use on his own. The automatic electromagnetic braking gives our family so much peace of mind. The second he lets go of the throttle, the scooter stops instantly—even on an incline. He doesn't have to worry about pulling levers or reacting quickly. What makes this a 5-star purchase for me, as his caregiver, is the detachable battery.
