This outboard came defective. If you use this motor be prepared to be stranded in a lake like I was. I returned the item and they charged a 70% restocking fee and lied to Amazon about never receiving the item return. Amazon will not honor their a-z warranty.

So I remember all the Chinese knock off side by sides, 4 wheelers, you name it, whatever they could copy for a cheaper price and cheaper quality. It was always something I avoided the time. Came from me to buy a trolling motor and I couldn't see the justification in paying so much money for a Honda or a Yamaha. So I started doing a little research, found it a really good review. A few of them in fact, on YouTube regarding this engine, I will tell you first-hand that I subjected this thing, do some severe hours on hours of trolling out here in the Nevada lakes. And never had a problem. Did have to increase the idol a bit Just a little bit, but that was it put 5 gallons in my auxiliary fuel can and have 12 hours, better trolling and well over half a tank of fuel still, the shipping was great fast and yeah, very well, packaged. Came with spark plug, head gasket toolkit. I bought the 6.5 4 stroke. Has a lot of low end on it Not as much top end as my 6 horse Yamaha, 2 stroke did, but much more real liable and affordable That's my 2 cents. Also, it's looking at this motor look for other vendor's selling it. I was able to not pay the tariffs due to finding a dealer in California that already had it in stock.
