Updated review As soon as the company heard about the damage, they contacted me and we are arranging the repairs. Excellent customer service. I will change the way I secured the canopy with additional weight and bracing. Overall, this canopy was excellent. It kept the rain and snow off, was sturdy and kept the boat dry. That is until we had a prolonged wind storm. Then the tubing folded in several different areas. Each of the 8 legs had a minimum of 65 lbs of weight. The canopy just seemed to fold over. It survived gustier days but didn't withstand the sustained winds.

Updated review at the end. I was in love with how easy this was to assemble. Everything felt and looked quality, until I got to the anchors. I know this is a temporary structure...but come on. After assembly, we threaded into the ground and tied on the included 8 anchor's as instructed, and put the weighted bags on the bottom parts of the vertical poles. We had 1 light wind storm (~15ish mph winds with gusts here and there), and it completely destroyed the canopy that we just put up the week prior. Folded it in half longways. It looks like a majority of the failed parts were at the connection points for the horizontal poles. Oh well....definitely a waste of over $400 if it can't handle a small amount of wind. I had very high hopes... We're just VERY thankful we didn't have anything parked under it at the time it got destroyed. Updated review. The company reached out to me and sent out replacement parts for all the pieces that were damaged. I'm very thankful for that. We just finished re-reassembling the canopy with the replacement parts. This time we used much more heavy duty anchors then what is provided with the kit.

Very good shelter quality, but not made for severe winters. Setup was easy with the help of a couple friends. Make sure to set it up exactly where you want it, because it's really hard to move after it's fully assembled. A heavy, wet Minnesota spring snowfall toppled it though. Water, snow, and ice tended to pool in the spaces between the supports and the weight combined with wind got to be too much. The ground was not perfectly level so that may have contributed to the collapse too. It was anchored solidly with ground screws so it couldn't tip over, so the poles had to buckle once the weight/wind got to be too much. I will say that customer service was very supportive and efficient. I messaged them with the attached picture. They said it was not covered under the warranty but they still sent me all of the necessary replacement poles for a very nominal charge so that I'm able to build it again. The winters here have been very hard on all similar tarp sheds and covers I've had so I wasn't surprised by the collapse. I wouldn't blame it on the quality of the cover because it was very good in comparison to others I've had. I would recommend this one if the snow/ice/wind doesn't get too extreme where you are, and especially because the customer service was easy and helpful. I corresponded with someone named Kelly who was understanding and eager to get me what I needed to get the cover back up again.

Two men and two boys had it together in less than an hour. All the parts were there, all the parts worked, all the parts fit together well. The instructions made sense and worked. It's great for our use. It's fairly light and flimsy, though. Ya gotta tie it down or it won't stay put in the wind.

After reading some of the reviews and the description, this sounded like a good canopy to cover my boat. Was I wrong..... Purchased in Sept 2022, the 12x20 'Heavy Duty' carport canopy. Everything came in the boxes. I was very suspect of the durability due to the thin wall frame with push button / snap together poles. It was real easy to put together, but was not stable due to the all the loose pole connections. The tarp is your standard silver, NOT heavy duty, tarp that usually last 1-2 years. Instead of using the sandbags (which honestly would not hold up to much wind), all 8 legs were strapped to a 5gal buckets that had 60# of cement in each. Knowing we had a storm approaching with high winds, and concerned with the thin walled frame, I added additional ratchet straps going to the frame to my boat trailer, being careful to not overtighten them. I've done this in the past with another canopy I purchased and the frame lasted for over 20 years. This thing was not going anywhere. Boy was I wrong! The storm come through with wind gusts in the 40-50 mile range that proceeded to twist and bend the frame and rip the top to pieces. I'm fine with the top being destroyed, as mentioned it's thin cheap material. I planned on having a high quality top made out of canvas. I'm not ok with the label that this is 'Heavy Duty'. IT IS NOT! AND... No Warranty information available on Amazon. State to contact the seller. No Company exists with the name Advance Outdoor. There's an Amazon store with no contact information.
