I’ve had this installed for just about a month with no problems at all. I was able to install in less than two hours in my 2018 Ram 2500. That included time to gather/find tools, read the limited one sheet “instructions”, and use my Dremel to trim some plastic to allow it to sit flush which I was prepared for based on others reviews. I was careful to trim just enough so if I ever wanted to reinstall the original radio, it would be no problem. The install instructions are not very detailed but provide enough to make sense. It is plug and play. Everything including the rear camera and voice command button are functional. My ram is the Tradesman trim so there wasn’t much to risk losing. This is a huge step up. I replaced the factory speakers with JBL’s years ago and they sounded better with the stock radio but this head unit upgrade improved the sound dramatically. I did not install the external microphone but I may because I’ve had a few people say they had difficulty hearing me when using the built in. However, it does work and seems like I need to speak directly toward the unit to be heard consistently. Settings are easy to work with once you look around the different menus. I only use CarPlay which works great so I can’t speak to anything else. It takes a few moments for CarPlay to connect once I start up my truck. The only time I had an issue was after someone borrowed my truck. It seemed to want to find the other phone. I removed that phone from the Bluetooth list and then it connected to mine. I highly recommend this head unit if you’re looking to upgrade the base radio. Particularly in the Tradesman. It sounds great and looks like it’s supposed to be there. I did buy the three year protection plan just to be safe. For the price of this head unit, it just made sense as an add on for peace of mind.

I got the 4+ 64gb. Completely blew my expectations!!! I can't believe how good it sounds!!! It's an instant upgrade to audio quality, but it takes some personalized tweaking to the equalizer. Once done the factory speakers sound amazing!! After a month now, The unit is snappy, never lags. GPS works great, you will want to connect to your home wifi and update everything, like the OS and applications. You will want to download offline maps so you don't have to connect your phone every time, but the Android Connect works flawlessly. Display is great. Mine came with adequate instructions and install was easy. Be curious, play around with it and learn it. Don't be mentally lazy and enjoy it!! I Have had no issues. I did need to use my dremel on my bezel to make it flush, I did not see that as an issue with it. For the price, just get it!!!

*EDIT* it’s Jan 31 2025. I’ve had this for LESS than a year. LESS than 10 months. And the screen just took a dump. I am mechanically gifted and I’ve checked every fuse, every connection, even the fuse in the back of the screen. Everything checks out. The screen is literally dead. You’ll see from my initial review that I was pretty underwhelmed with the product. I am a very objective person. I am not emotionally driven. This is a LEGIT review. Do NOT buy this. I’m just trying to help my fellow human. ——————————————————————— Sure it’s plug and play. Relatively easy to install. Unfortunately there are way more cons than pros. In my case, I needed a screen for the reverse camera I added so I’m in a “it’s better than no screen” situation. My biggest complaint: Bluetooth audio is an absolute joke. If it’s a YouTube video the audio is delayed about 3 seconds so nothing lines up and it’s very annoying. It’s seriously terrible. If I’m listening to music and I want to skip the next song. It won’t skip until about 5 seconds after pressing the button. And this is coming from the fancy marketing of their “8 core cpu” give me a break. Second is the radio. Simply doesn’t pick up my local station. Everything worked fine with my OEM radio. Lights don’t work on the side buttons until it’s factory scheduled time of 7pm. So I was like no big deal, I’ll switch the AM/PM system time. So when it’s 7am it will think it’s 7pm. And sure enough everything turned on and I thought it was a win. Well unfortunately when the truck is turned off it forgets everything you did. So literally every time I turn off the truck, I would have to reset the system settings. Sometimes if you’re on a call and you try to connect to CarPlay the system simply can’t do that and you’ll be stuck on the “connecting” screen forever. You have to press Home > apps > and close the CarPlay app so it starts over. Like I said; it’s an upgrade for me because I literally had nothing before. Just a standard radio. So these things are whatever… If you already have an OEM screen that works. Don’t buy this. It’s more of a head ache and you’ll notice more problems now than you had before

First, I will preface this review with knowing I am only a week into having this installed. The initial install was not bad. Not perfect, and some things get lost in translation, or just aren't shown. Some wiring is a bit non-standard and there is A LOT of it. There is definitely a bunch of extra wiring that may, or may not be needed for your particular model...and it isn't very clear what they are. That said...a little patience and it's a very clean setup. Fitment was pretty great, AFTER I removed some original bezel plastic with a dremel, and it does require removing more than you think. It was all on the upper portion and just parts of the original radio mounting supports. Once done, fit was almost perfect. Functionally, it worked right away, and worked smooth. Everything was clear, and fairly obvious. The only drawback to the layouts for the screen are that it will rely heavily on built in Nav...which is fine, if you want to run that. I do not. I also loathe Android Auto. I will use it ONLY when I need nav, otherwise, everything goes through standard bluetooth. A lot of people complained about sound. Now, am I an audiophile...no. However, out of the box, it sounded better, and louder than stock. I do NOT have the built in amps and alpine system. I have my own hardware in there for that, and had ZERO issues with adjusting the sound. The built in equalizer is extremely substantial for adjustments. If you have the built in audio system, then take a little time to adjust the radio to work with it, it's fairly easy. Adjustments I needed out of the box. I do not have electronic heat controls, but the screen keeps a snowflake on all the time. Easy fix. In the Touch Control app, just turn it off. Next, I had a weird issue with the temp reading on the radio itself being stuck on C. I just went into the display settings and turned off the display of the temp. Not a big deal, thats on my main cluster. Now...the only headache, which, to be fair was NOT the radio. The rear camera. I have an aftermarket in the latch style (it kinda sucks). But the radio has MANY options for wiring a camera and definitely not straight forward because there are many different cameras. THe instructions do have the wiring info for this, the trigger power wire thats with thte rca cable must be connected to the third wire, above the red on the main power harness. G5. In my cameras case, I have to connect ALL the wires in the back to respective wires, trigger, 12v, and ground. IF THIS IS GOING IN YOUR RAM, just do the easy thing. Drop the spare tire, and splice into the rear trailer wiring. It'll save all the headache and potential issues with trying to get into the tail lights. Assuming the canbus is set properly, all your controls still work! All mine do! I wouldn't mess with it, but apparently you can customize them too. Lastly. Support. These people are amazing! 10/10. Their email and whatsapp info is on the paperwork and they respond immediately (time zones taking into account). Every question I had they politely and quickly gave me an answer. Very very helpful, so yes, as of one week in, I recommend this radio as an alternative to the $1k systems that average joe may not need.

Installation was a little tricky. First, as some have stated, the bevel on this stereo does not fit perfect without some modification. Used a dremel to cut away some plastic to make it flush, no big deal and looks good now. Wiring was straight forward, but it's a lot of wires to fit in the dash. Lots of zip ties to keep it straight. Settings. This is where I'm having issues. First, all readings are in metric (temperature and miles) and though I found a few places in settings to correct this, it doesn't work. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but since this ties into the CANBUS in the truck, the dash shows outside temp in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. Second, on the reverse camera the lines move opposite the steering wheel, and though I'd rather just turn the guidance lines off, this setting also doesn't seem to work. Last, and biggest issue, my fog lights no longer work! Again, found several settings for lights but none of them seem to make a difference. I have emailed customer service and waiting for a fix. Sound, played with the EQ and numerous settings this stereo has and got it to sound really good. Clear, crisp, and a definite improvement over the stock stereo. Android Auto, a little tricky to connect sometimes, but once it connects it works well. Screen has zero lag and several options for layout. Overall it's a much better stereo than the stock one (which went blank on me) and I do recommend it. Hopefully the settings issues will get fixed and will then give it 5 stars. As several have stated, the customer service is excellent! Levy helped fix all the errors and all is good now. Great upgrade to my truck!

So far, I’m loving my new head unit! I actually have recommended this to several of my friends who are owners of Ram trucks! Installation was a breeze! Took me about 1 hour to complete the install and that’s including wiring up a new front view camera. One thing I have to say about this unit is there is TONS of options that a stock head unit doesn’t provide. Apple CarPlay, Android auto, better equalizer, online and offline Navigation, plus many more. A big selling point for me was the fact that I was able to retain all of my factory menus that were included in the stock Uconnect head unit that came with the truck, along with my OEM backup camera. I do not have the volume control buttons on my steering wheel, but I do have the voice command button and the phone button which are now linked to Siri while using CarPlay and the phone button assists with answering calls and hanging up. One major thing I want to note, when I initially installed the new head unit I followed the instructions provided to set up the canbus by selecting my vehicle type. Doing this did not immediately make the vehicle options menu or steering wheel controls operable. I initially thought there was some additional wiring that I needed to do or an update that I needed to do to the canbus, so I reached out to the Navifly team and Levy kindly responded with some suggestions on how to troubleshoot the issue. I realized after talking to Levy that I needed to reboot the unit after making my selections in the car model menu to get the functionality of the car options and steering wheel controls. Super simple! In conclusion this is an excellent product, looks great, works great, and has a ton of options with retaining all of the factory options and controls! Levy from Navifly was super helpful and provided top notch customer service! Buy it now & Don't forget to reboot!

*Update after 6 months* The radio is great. Still working like new. I was already frustrated with this install when I realized that the screw holes provided in the new assembly are significantly smaller than the factory screws, therefore the factory screws cannnot be re used. I can’t even fully put it together now. Besides that, the fitment isn’t flush, unless I grind down some of the screw housing in order for it to sit flush on the console. Aside from that, I finally got everything working as it should. It works with the factory backup camera, steering wheel controls work, Apple carPlay works well. You just need to go into the device settings and adjust some things to get it working properly for your specific vehicle. The WhatsApp product support number provided helped me with everything. I have this installed on a 2017 Ram Rebel. It’s way nicer than the factory Uconnect radio.

This Stereo is awesome! I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock. Pros. This stereo was very easy to install, definitely plug and play! Took me about 30-45 minutes to take my old stock 5" radio out, and put this new one in. I did not have to call or email tech support at all. It has wireless Apple CarPlay, and it is very responsive! I have not tried wired CarPlay, but I imagine its 10x more responsive than wireless. Everything I had before works perfectly too! (A/C, Backup Camera, etc.). I opted for the cheapest version of this unit, and it's great so far. No lag, the buttons on the left side are responsive, and it starts up fast and connects to CarPlay shortly after I start the truck! For the cons, I want to say there is a different setup and wires you will use, depending on what screen you are going to swap out (i.e. 5", or 8"). I say this because I had a lot of wires left over after install. There were wires for "4G" and "Maps" but I did not use these as I did not have either in my stock setup. This was a little confusing during setup, especially since the "instruction manual" is a single picture of the unit and what wires go where. Also, the screen does not get very bright. The pictures were taken in the morning, and early afternoon at 100% brightness. I can still see the screen okay, but it gets a little harder to see when I am navigating using Apple or Google maps. I am not knocking this too hard though, because I have little to no tint on my truck. Overall, it's a great stereo, especially for the lowest price I paid for it! I can only imagine the more costly option of this stereo is more responsive. If you're browsing around looking for a bigger touch screen for your Ram, I'd definitely go with this one!
