  • It's good for the price
I like how heavy it is. Perfect for angled drilling .

  • Solid vice, but not quite awesome
It is a sturdy and functional vice, and I would likely buy again. I purchased for knife making, as I wanted a vice that can hold the blade horizontally. It does that well and has a sturdy grip on the material being worked on. It has a pin that allows it to be locked in 15 degree increments, and it is not too difficult to insert the pin through the front face into the hole behind. Rotation of the vice from horizontal to vertical is stiffer than I would like, but I do plan to leave it in the vertical position. I bolted it to my work surface using 1/2" bolts and I can generally rotate the vice with one hand now. Also, the crank to tighten the vice doesn't rotate as smoothly as most vices that I have used. So everything works fine for me. I just don't have any inclination to show it to someone for them to admire what a nice vice it is. ... show more

  • Light duty only. Cracked in three places
Had it bolted to the drill press and only used for a couple hours during the first month. Notice the sliding clamp wasn't square with the rest of the vice anymore. Then noticed the huge cracks around the guide rod. Since it's an off brand and made in China there's no warranty info I can find.
