Great vise for the price BUT read the reviews nothing perfect but what you get is a really versatile vise that may have a minor flaw meaning if your looking to star a commercial production operation you might want to pay a bit more for 5 star quality. That being said the jaws were off left to right by about an 1/8th of an inch but were joined level on the top. Almost not worth mentioning but I’ve been asked ( like everyone I’m sure) to rate my purchases. So in my opinion a great vice with multiple functions that should serve you well ... show more

I have a lot of black walnuts falling every year. The wood is a tough nut to crack to get to that tasty meat inside. Guess what I use this little device for. Yelp, a nutcracker. Mounted to the shelf of a Hoosier Cupboard, doubles as a pull-out handle, open the jaws and cracks what usually takes a hammer and board. Looks decorative too. ... show more

So far I have no real complaints. Everything works as it should. My main concern is that I work on some big valves that required a 30" cheater pipe on the vice handle which after 10 years finally broke my old cast iron 5". I have not had to resort to those extremes on this vice yet, though I'm pretty sure I will because the handle is not very big. The provided mounting screws were too short because I have a 2X10X12" board on top of my 3/4" plywood work bench which needs a 3" bolt. I used the ones from my old vice to mount the new one. ... show more

I like this vise. It is easy to adjust the jaws and the angles. Mine appears to be well made and of good quality materials. I use mine several times a week for hobby activities and home maintenance … someone who needs one for daily professional use might be less enthusiastic, but I really like mine.
