This is a very convenient, workable vice. I needed a vice in the pole barn on my work bench so I didn’t have to walk to the house to use the one in the basement. WOW is it more useable than a regular vice. It allows you to use it at different angles that makes getting the job done way easier. The blue color is sharp and it has some weight to it, which is good for stability. I highly recommend it! I was pleased with how well it was packed for transportation. It was delivered in a short period of time, which was helpful for the need of use for it.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this heavy duty 5 inch vise to mount on my welding table. There I can use it for a bench vise (drilling, grinding, bending...) as well as a clamp for welding two pieces together at various angles. Features I really appreciate in this vise are the two rotary adjustments of the jaws and base, the ability to change from flat jaws to pipe clamp by rotating the main jaws, and the black knob that locks the jaws at any 45 degree increment (the benefit of this upgraded vise verses the standard 5in vise). For welding it is important to remove 3 layers of paint so the vise can ground to the welding table. See in the pics. The very bottom is painted, and the two inner layers of the rotary stage also need the paint removed if grounding is needed. See pics where I grind off these layers. The hole spacing in the vise is perfect for a welding table. I did not have to drill any new holes. And it works great for welding (see pic). Great heavy duty construction. Very pleased that I went with a higher end vise.

Great vise for the price BUT read the reviews nothing perfect but what you get is a really versatile vise that may have a minor flaw meaning if your looking to star a commercial production operation you might want to pay a bit more for 5 star quality. That being said the jaws were off left to right by about an 1/8th of an inch but were joined level on the top. Almost not worth mentioning but I’ve been asked ( like everyone I’m sure) to rate my purchases. So in my opinion a great vice with multiple functions that should serve you well

I have a lot of black walnuts falling every year. The wood is a tough nut to crack to get to that tasty meat inside. Guess what I use this little device for. Yelp, a nutcracker. Mounted to the shelf of a Hoosier Cupboard, doubles as a pull-out handle, open the jaws and cracks what usually takes a hammer and board. Looks decorative too.

I wanted a vise that felt substantial. And this meets my criteria. Heavy and feels sturdy and solid with big enough jaws to clamp a variety of items. Also like how I can rotate the jaws to fit my needs. For the money this was a very good choice. It’s already paid for itself …because I use it so much!

Well I’m sure you all know what it’s like….ya get a new jig saw to make your cuts on sticks because you’re getting a little long in the tooth and you can’t just hacksaw every branch you find…and then you’re like CRAP this saw is WAY more powerful than I expected! I can’t just hold a stick with my left arm and cut with my right! I’m going to leave few fingers on the floor! IN COMES THIS BADASS CLAMP that is just perfect for holding those pesky sticks safely!! OMG!! It is SOLID AS A ROCK and such an incredible value for the price!! As you can see, it is fastened to my work table (so easy!) and off I have gone! Including a video of my suncatcher so you can see the cut stick :) This is a solid YES!
