I recently moved to a new city, and my water is incredibly hard. In the cold winters, especially, my skin is incredibly itchy and uncomfortable. After suffering a winter, I installed this filter before this coming winter. I've had it installed for about 2 months now, with a month of that being cold weather/more sensitive skin time. While it's not perfect, or 100%, this little treatment 'filter' does put a sizeable dent in my itchy hard water discomfort. I don't know how long the media will last, I suppose I'll have to rely on how my skin feels, unfortunately, but so far I'm very happy about this purchase and installation. ... show more

    • No more toilet build up!
It’s been a few weeks since this filter was installed. I would already start seeing more build up in the toilets but it seems to be helping! Will update if it changes.

This thing last WAY longer than 6 months. I had it installed on the line supplying filtered water to the tankless water heater. After 12 months I had the service technician come to service the water heater. The guy said he had been servicing heaters for 15 years. That my tankless heater was the cleanest he had ever seen. He flushed it and performed all the steps. He found at most 2 pinheads of scales. I am going to keep using the same installed filter. Just in case, I ordered another one today for installation on the line leading to the UV filter. It can’t hurt. ... show more

Installed this prior to our tankless water heater to minimize calcium buildup in the heater. Works well, easy to install in line. Just need to remind myself to switch the filters when needed

    • Threads inside tcap wasn’t lined up with the filter
I purchased two. One was somewhat ok the thread was off. But the thread one the other one was very off.

I recommend this product. The water filter system was easy to install, and I am delighted with the results. The water tastes good and is clear. I installed the Aqua-Pure scale inhibition AP430ss inclined to my water heater. In addition, I installed the AP904 whole house water filter with the scale option. Since the installation of these two products, the house scaling issue has been eliminated. I am also noticing scale deposits are clearing in my dishwasher. Both products were installed on June 29, 2022. As noted in the attached shower head picture, there is no scaling. Before, it would have been running from each spray. The one thing that I did and recommend is to drain and flush your hot water tank. Also, make sure you select the filter with the scaling option. ... show more
