This paddle is a great deal, and it looks great too. It's one of the heaviest paddles I have ever used, weighing in at 8.61 oz., but it's well balanced and doesn't feel heavy when playing. Mine is 15 1/2" tall and 7 7/8" wide, which is pretty standard for this class of paddle. The face is a whopping 16.3 mm thick (not including edge guards) giving it a nice fat sweet spot, medium noise, and good soft hits for your control or dinking game (the way pickleball was meant to be played.) You won't find many thick core paddles that are this affordable! The big sacrifice for this paddle is power - even my hardest shots came off a bit slow, and I had to use some muscle to drive the ball the length of the court. The handle is 4 1/4" tall and 4 1/2" around. It has soft ridges in the grip. I prefer smooth grips, but soft ridges are better than firm ridges. This is a pure preference thing, and grips are easy enough to change. The handle has a more round than oval profile and feels big in the hand. The more oval handle shapes give me a better feel for the paddle direction, but again this is just my preference. Changing the grip tape may help with this, too. Overall, this is a great beginner paddle with a forgiving sweet spot that will encourage learning the short game and ball placement over just crushing the ball as hard as you can. Plus, it looks really cool. This paddle is not USAPA Approved, though it appears to meet the requirements that I am able to measure. This just means you can't use it for sanctioned tournaments. You can easily check at the USAPA website.

I would describe this as a good paddle for someone wanting to upgrade from an entry-level paddle without spending very much money. The paddle is definitely a great value, but it also performs well. My paddle weighed in at exactly 8.5 ounces. The paddle thickness of 16mm, not including the edge guard, gives this paddle increased stiffness and it provides a larger sweet spot. The bright graphics are fun and possibly confusing for your opponent who might be trying to figure out what those letters say. The grip is a tiny bit thicker than the average paddle, and it feels great in my large hand. I do prefer paddles that have a slightly longer grip, this one is 4.5" long and is not quite long enough for confident play. All in all this is a solid paddle that is well made and it performs well, way beyond it's price.

I've only recently started playing pickleball, and have zero competitive drive as far as needing to "own" my opponent. I'm in it strictly for a fun way to get some exercise, and probably should have started with this thicker 16mm racquet. It feels like it gives me a greater sweet spot for more consistent shots, which helps me to better enjoy the game. I'm very happy with this product.

I was excited to find this paddle. I have a much more expensive one and wanted an extra for my friends if they visit and want to play. I am impressed by the construction of this and the price point is very good for the quality of paddle. The grip is very nice and the paddle has a good weight for beginners and advanced players. Will be a nice option for me in the event I need an extra paddle.

We needed an extra pickleball paddle to have on hand as we've seen them break at times. I ordered the DLJZGC Fiberglass Surface Pickleball Paddle as a backup should things go wrong. Price is reasonable and this racquet has the necessary strong fiberglass face and polypropylene honeycomb core. Lightweight and feels good in the hand. Nice graphic too.
