I never believe it when someone tells me "A paddle is a paddle." That person doesn't play much. I could tell the difference between this model versus the aluminum core paddles I tried. The graphite models had a feel that didn't appeal to me. Some liked the "click" or "pop" off the aluminum core models, but I had a liking to the composite, similar to how I like certain tennis strings compared to others. This model had a nice weight to it, top grade grip, a subtle texture to the surface that helped to control shots and impart spin, but had a very good rebound off the face. This is a lightweight power paddle. It does vibrate a bit if you don’t hit the sweet spot. This paddle is lively enough that even a poor dink tends to make it over the net.

Paddle feels very light and the grip feels great. For such an expensive product you’d think they would include a protective sleeve or some type of cover. Just seems like bad customer care in my opinion. Paddle came in literal Amazon package material not even a box.

I purchased this paddle less than 6 months ago. I play 2-3 times a week. The face of the paddle has worn away on both sides leaving a honeycomb shape visible on both sides. I contacted Selkirk, sent them photos and they immediately replaced the paddle without any issues. Very impressed with their customer service. As such, revising my rating to 5 stars. ... show more
