I never believe it when someone tells me "A paddle is a paddle." That person doesn't play much. I could tell the difference between this model versus the aluminum core paddles I tried. The graphite models had a feel that didn't appeal to me. Some liked the "click" or "pop" off the aluminum core models, but I had a liking to the composite, similar to how I like certain tennis strings compared to others. This model had a nice weight to it, top grade grip, a subtle texture to the surface that helped to control shots and impart spin, but had a very good rebound off the face. Paddle feels very light and the grip feels great. For such an expensive product you’d think they would include a protective sleeve or some type of cover. Just seems like bad customer care in my opinion. Paddle came in literal Amazon package material not even a box.

I purchased this paddle less than 6 months ago. I play 2-3 times a week. The face of the paddle has worn away on both sides leaving a honeycomb shape visible on both sides. I contacted Selkirk, sent them photos and they immediately replaced the paddle without any issues. Very impressed with their customer service. As such, revising my rating to 5 stars. ... show more

Just started using it and so far it's great. I'm able to hit more accurate shots with spin, especially on my forehand. My backhand has a slice without me even trying but the forehand was hard for me. Trying to cut the shot make it float high but now I can hit it low and deep with a lot of side or back spin. Racquet is light and has a nice pop when you hit it. I bought a $99 Ion graphite for my wife and I can't feel any difference. Paid 69 for minev.I've only used it three times so I'll update this review in a couple of weeks. ... show more
