What is the maximum size of objects I can print? Magic Jimmy Spark AI prints objects up to 120x120x120mm (4.7x4.7x4.7in) — roughly the size of a tennis ball. This covers most toys, figurines, badges, keyrings, and school project parts. What are Magic Jimmy coins and how do I get them? Magic Jimmy coins are used for AI tools like turning a photo or sketch into a 3D model. Every printer includes a one-time starter coin pack, plus you can purchase more. If you cannot see your starter pack, our support team is happy to help. Is it safe for children younger than 8 years old? The enclosed chamber keeps all hot parts safely inside at all times. Cool-touch exterior. Non-toxic PLA only. Children from age 6 can use it with normal parental awareness. Does the app require location access? Is my child's location tracked during setup? Location permission is required briefly during WiFi setup — a phone OS requirement for connecting devices, not something we chose. It's not used to track your child. You can safely turn location off after setup; the app works fine without it. My first print didn't come out right, is that normal? Shipping can sometimes shift the print nozzle slightly, which may lower quality on your very first print. Simply re-level using the included calibration card — this resolves it in most cases. My kid always wants a 3d printer and we got this one due to the price. Beyond expectation! We chose pink but yellow looked good as well. Installation will need some time but not difficult. The app has videos showing how to install, much easier to use than the manual book. We printed 3 items in a few days and my daughter liked it a lot! Spools coming with the printer was about 200 grams. We searched the app and found that most items cost around 10-15 grams of spool, so the spool itself can print at least 15 regular items. The app offered bunch of items that can be printed, we had kids coming and play with it. It’s really a fancy toy! In addition, the quality of printed items were good. I printed a cell phone frame for myself.

The Magic Jimmy printer came fully assembled - we just connected WiFi and loaded the filament. My son was able to printedsomething the same day. You're able to customize a toy. My son can draw something or type "dragon with glasses" and it actually prints a toy he can hold. It's fully enclosed, the outside stays cool, and it only uses non-toxic PLA. When it's done printing, he can take his prints off the magnetic plate himself. Their app was user friendly and on there, they have over 8000 options to choose from. I’m new to 3D printers, so I didn’t realize how long some of these can take to print. One of the great things about this printer is the camera. It allows you to see inside so you can track the progress. It’s a great starter 3D printer.

This printer is a very interesting offering, and it caught my eye due to its fully enclosed design, compact size, and the allure of "AI features." I'm very experienced with 3D printing (been doing it for over 10 years), so I knew what I was getting into, but even considering that, I'm fairly happy with this printer. As far as initial setup goes, this printer was pretty easy. You do need the app to get it set up on wifi though, so that may be a drawback for some people. I'm always a bit hesitant with these foreign printers and their network security, but since it has a hard power switch that makes me more confident to leave it sitting around. Once you've got the app and connect to the printer (which I had a couple issues with, but worked it out) you can see a nice little model space with a surprisingly large amount of content available for people to print easily. I do have a small child who I anticipate will be using this in the future, so I was curious to see what I could find on the model space. Fortunately, it seems like their content rules are pretty strict and I wasn't able to find anything weird. At the same time, I would never let her use it on her own. The printer itself is very compact and has a very limited build space with a non-heated build plate. This is fine for PLA but I wouldn't try printing anything else. With its bowden setup you won't be printing TPU either. PLA is the cheapest filament to get usually anyway, so that's fine with me. The small build plate works just fine though in my experience so far, and first layer adhesion has not had any issues either. That being said it is quite warm where I live (80-90F) so I'm not sure how well the build surface would perform in the winter time. Print speed and quality are shocking for what I would have used to consider a "cheap no-name" machine a few years ago. That being said, this is NOT that cheap, especially when you compare to the biggest companies making printers these days. On top of that, this is really a novelty product due to the packaging. You can get better, more versatile, and much more advanced printers for cheaper. While printing, this is super quiet, and prints relatively fast. There aren't a lot of options to really change anything though, and I don't even know if it would be possible to send prints to this from another slicer, since it is so directly integrated into the app. IF this company ever goes under and the app ceases to be functional, you might be out of luck. Overall, this novelty package is not a terrible buy, but understand the restrictions. This is not a versatile hobby machine, this is a small printer with limited functionality, marketed to its enclosed nature and "AI" features (which are mostly locked behind credits that you have to buy, btw).

My family has been loving the 3D printer! I got this for my oldest son, however my two younger boys love watching things peint too. I have been very pleased with how easy this printer is to use. The app has been intuitive to use which I appreciate and it offers over 8000 differnt things to make. We were able to try the AI functions with 50 free coins. Which my son loved! The printer is quiet you hardly notice that it is running. The filament is not only easy to install it lasts a long time, we are excited to try other colors. We have already created several toys! And my boys have been giving the away as gifts. I love that it is super safe, and I have no worries of my boys burning themselves. If you are looking for a kid friendly 3D printer, you will be very pleased with your purchase!

Did some research when looking at these 3D printers for kids. Set up was simple for my 10 year old son, and he loves it. We have printed 2 toys so far and they are very cool. There are lots of options and we are only on day 2 of having this printer, but we love it. One super cool feature is the camera inside the unit so you can watch it print from your iPad without physically checking the printer. He loves to check his iPad and see how far along it is and how much time is left before it’s complete. So far so good and would recommend!

My son is absolutely obsessed with his Magic Jimmy — it’s turned his usual screen time into genuine "creation time." He’s constantly giggling as he watches his doodles turn into physical toys and his selfies become little cartoon figurines, all through the incredibly intuitive AI tools. As a parent, I love that it was ready to go straight out of the box with zero assembly, and the fully enclosed, cool-to-the-touch design means I don’t have to hover while he works independently. Seeing him so proud of his own designs, watching the time-lapse camera capture the magic, and knowing he’s actually building spatial reasoning skills while having this much fun makes it the best gift we’ve bought in years.

I bought this 3D printer for my kids, and we've had a lot of fun with it. It was very easy to set up, the instructions were clear, and the app connected to the printer without any problems. We were able to start our first print within minutes. The printer is really cute, and the colorful design is perfect for kids. The app offers plenty of ready-made projects, including toys, bookmarks, keychains, clips, and other fun items, so it's easy to get started right away. What impressed me most is how simple it is to use. Loading the filament is easy, and once you select a design, the printer takes care of the rest. The print quality has been excellent—our projects come out clean, sturdy, and detailed. It's also much quieter than I expected. My kids especially enjoy the built-in camera, which lets us check the printing progress from the app. Cleanup is quick, and it's ready for the next print in just a minute or two. Overall, this has been a great purchase. It's easy to use, quiet, produces good-quality prints, and is perfect for beginners or families with kids. I would definitely recommend it as a first 3D printer.

Honestly? I’m a little disappointed. Maybe I didn’t do enough research before buying and I admit that’s on me. I was looking forward to a beginner friendly, enclosed 3D printer that I could import .stl files to. I thought the Magic Jimmy would deliver that. I have successfully printed 2 items, from their library. Cool. The app will not import .stl files though. And there is no helpful guidance for how long an import should take, no error message, no progress bar. For something intended for children, there should be a more intuitive import system or messaging stating the capabilities of the import feature. I hope my review can give someone else an answer before they get their hopes up. Also a bit of a complaint about the micro transaction nature of the ai features on the ai printer. You have to buy coins to print anything from the ai side of the printer. And there is another currency you can earn by meeting achievements, but no explanation as to what THAT currency is used for… It works, but is much more limited than I thought it would be. My bad.
