I thought the $89 for the shelf was a lot, but the thing is perfect. It takes two minutes to install. It flips up to be out of the way if cleaning the grill or reaching for something below it. It flips down to store the grill. It fits under the cover. It is all stainless with a stainless rod with nylon bushings that it rotates on. Should last forever. It it wears out, replace 50 cents worth of nylon (or delrin or similar) bushings. I resented the $89 on top of the already painful $1000 for the grill. But darn it, Weber makes good stuff. My last Weber lasted 20 years in the elements with essentially no care. If I'd taken better care of it, probably 30 years.

Works as advertised, could be a little smoother to fold if heavier gauge steel was used. For this price they should use better materials.

This table was easy to install and fits nicely on the Smokefire grill. The installation took about 5 minutes. Once installed the table is easy to fold down when not in use and does not impact the use of the cover. For the price, this is a nice addition and I'm happy with the purchase. Feedback for Weber: the table could be about an inch lower (or the handle an inch higher) to allow for better use when the lid is closed or being opened.

I was disappointed with this product when it arrived. It doesn’t seem as high quality as the grill itself. I had trouble fitting the shelf to the grill because the shelf pins (ones attached to the front of the grill) were just slightly too close together. The shelf would not lock on to the pins! You might be able to loosen the pins and adjust the width but they are a very large Torx and I don’t have anything that big. I did get the shelf to lock on by using my handy persuader (hammer) and a few precisely placed taps to the shelf. For the price, it should fit better. Also, the metal seems thin and the fit of the shelf to the pivot pin has lots of slop - seems a bit flimsy. Last, the shelf gets very hot - don’t know if the heat is due to the grill or the sun but you have to be careful when you touch the shelf. It is nice that you can clip the top wire rack to the shelf when you don’t want to use the rack. Would I buy it again? Maybe, but hopefully WEBER works on the the fit and design. It seems like a “value engineered product” not a quality product.

I love my grill and the new shelf space was needed. However, I feel for how much this grill was it should have came with it and if I were buying it as a accessory it should be more sturdy.
