    • Helps with pain, but don't expect miracles
I've recently been having problems with a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder blade area so I decided to give this device a try. The manual is pretty good and helped me get up and running, including deciding which mode to use. The screen is large and easy to use and lights up if needed. Controls are intuitive and easy to use. Once I had the pads attached and decided which mode to use, I could feel the tingling sensations that this device generates. You can choose the intensity. It is like an electric feeling but not to the point where it hurts or is harmful. I only set the intensity to a lower level and was surprised how intense it could get. I can't imagine going up much higher because it would probably too much to handle. You do have to be careful where you put the pads though. I put them a bit too close to my neck and when I turned it on, the muscles in my neck instantly tensed up in an uncomfortable way. Once I moved the pads a bit further away, all was fine. For actual outcome, I can say that it did ease the pain some, but it was not some type of miracle device that took the pain away completely. It is probably the equivalent of using a heating pad or getting a massage. I do like how I can put the device in my pocket and walk around with it, something I would not be able to do with a heating pad or a massager. The one thing that could use some improvement is the descriptions in the manual of the modes within the modes. It gives good descriptions of what each of the six main modes do and when to use them, but within those modes are six additional "sub" modes (for a total of 36 modes). It doesn't say what each of these sub-modes does, when to use them, or what the difference was between them. It was just a matter of selecting each and seeing what I liked best. The AVCOO Electronic Pulse Massager TENS Machine is decent for pain relief and massage. It has 36 different modes so you can get the intensity that you need. The directions are good and provides recommendations of pad placement depending on your needs. I have noticed depending on where the pads are placed can sting your skin versus provide muscle stimulation. If this happens just move the pad a little. The control is a tad larger than others I've tested but it's a welcome size to have larger icons that are more visible. I like it has a batter meter to give you an idea how much charge is left including how much it has charged when plugged in. The icons on the display are better to see than other units. Scrolling through each mode is simple until you find one that works best for your situation. The manual does a good job of giving a description of what each mode will do unlike others I've tested. I've only used the unit in single channel mode so I can't attest to the versatility of the dual mode function. It comes nicely packaged and has additional electrode pads of different sizes to use. Everything works well and I have a positive experience in using the unit. The pads can be reused multiple times and may last longer if you put a few drops of water on the adhesive side after each use. It would have been nice to provide a nicer case like others at this price point versus a bag but it's not a deal breaker. ... show more

Pro; it’s a portable TENS and EMD unit. It has a massage function as well. It has a lot of modes, with different wavelengths and intensities, before you even turn it up. It’s dual channel. It also comes with a little carry bag. Cons: It feels, cheap. It has almost no weight or substance to it. It feels almost like one of those cheap toys your kids want from the pharmacy, and you only buy it to keep them quiet. The screen is hard to read at an angle other than direct on. All in all, good tens unit. It’s my second one, as my other one has seen a lot of use. I like the addition of the ems and massage functions. The machine is pretty light and super easy to use. I used on my traps and upper back, which was hurting quite a bit, it helped a lot. The instructions are super easy to follow. What I like about this one is the screen. I have another one that the doctor gave me and it’s all manual and confusing so with this one it’s easier to control and choose the intensity with all different modes that’s provided. ... show more

This TENS, EMS, Massage unit is fantastic. The price to value can’t be beat. The unit was charged right out of the box and I was able to use it right away. The power button is located on the right side. Hold for 2 seconds and it comes on. To select between the different modes, all numbered 1-36 you simply use the M+ and M- buttons. Once you select the technique you want, you will adjust the intensity using the A+ A- or B+ B- depending on what port you plugged into at the top. It is clearly labeled so you can control and use more then one set of pads at a time. The set comes with 2 of each size pads, being 4 of each as they are in pairs of 2. The size range allows you to target the muscles you are needing to treat with accuracy. This unit is very light weight, in the best way. I was able to put the large pads on my shoulders and simply slip the control panel in the band of my pants as I continued with my morning chores. When doing so, you can select the ‘lock’ button so nothing gets pressed or changed while you are moving around. When you are selecting between the different setting, you will have to start over on your intensity each time you change the selection. The T button is for the timer that you will see displayed on the top left of the screen. It allows you to go in increments of 10 starting at 0 all the way to 90 minutes. This is a great feature as depending on your need, you don’t want to overwork an area and it can be easy to lose track of time. For the price of this unit, it can’t be beat.
