Overall, this is a quality product - but just keep in mind to managed your expectations when you buy a 300w power inverter. I plugged this into my tesla, and first of all was glad to see that it could handle the non-standard 16v electrical system. Then I started adding load, and around the 150W mark the car shut off the power port - not a problem with the inverter, but in practical use you're not going to get all 300w out of this device. Although this product is listed as 300w, the device product manual and packaging show it as 200W - so I decided to bench test with some extra 12v batteries I had sitting around to see how much the device could actual handle. I loaded up 265W of light bulbs into a string, and slowly started adding load. It turned out the device did handle the load for a few seconds, but then the batteries dropped below 10V and the device shut down the outlets. What I really liked about this is the device has several built-in safety mechanisms for over load, with a graceful shutdown. I could have hooked the batteries to a running car so the alternator would back them up, but figure I had learned what I needed to. This was kind of a synthetic scenario, as it would take a 30A fuse to support that load (which I've never seen on a car cigarette lighter, and the wiring probably wouldn't support anyway). In practice, you're probably looking at a max of 100W-150W of usable power due to the standard car fusing - this is probably enough for the typical roadtrip laptop charging or tv watching scenario. However, if you wanted to hardwire this to the battery, it seems like you could run a higher load (200W+) and the device would support it.

My new MPV has 120 VAC, 12VDC and USB all available in the cargo area, but some older SUV's only have the 12 Volt power plugs. My friends dad wanted to be able to charge the 24 volt battery on his mobility scooter while traveling and he has a good charger that is designed for just that, but it runs off of 120 VAC. I was looking for a simple inverter to supply the AC when I got the opportunity to evaluate this DrimMek power converter module, that not only can provide 300 Watts of AC power, but has high power USB charging as well. We mounted it with adhesive Velcro strips in the cargo area near the power plug and now the older SUV has all the power systems of the most modern vehicles and he can keep his battery fully charged while traveling. The Voltmeter to display the Voltage of the vehicle battery is a nice touch as well and could possibly alert you to a problem with the vehicle's electrical system. I am told that this DrimMek converter system is working just fine in this application. The power plug in the vehicle we installed this DrimMek converter on, turned off with the ignition, but if yours does not and you want to turn it off when not driving or using it, Amazon sells dozens of remote control systems, some as cheap as $15, that you can use to control the device from the driver's seat.

This is a nice inverter that checks all the boxes. The voltage readout is a nice touch to let you know that your alternator/battery output is good. Fast USB and USB-C are really fast and the AC inverter takes on other needs. Manage your expectations as is indicated in the description. You are NOT going to running power tools, vacuums or coffee makers on this thing. It is not a replacement for household AC for you glampers out there. It DOES allow you to use your one cigarette lighter to charge 4 USB devices with enough wattage for whatever you need and still plug in a couple AC chargers or small devices like portable TVs. I use it to charge e-bike batteries and tool batteries. With any inverter, make sure you unplug it from a full time powered lighter or you could drain your battery. For my road trips, this gives me plenty of options to get everything charged on the road for use on arrival. Worth every nickel. Just plug it in and it powers up. Start plugging in your devices as needed. Quiet, easy operation.

This 300W car converter is easy to use and works perfectly for my needs. It has several "outlets" for connecting various devices where more power is needed such as plugging in an item such as a laptop. It has a couple of spots for each of the different type of phone chargers as well. It is designed as a max ability to sustain up to 300 Watts. I will note, however, that the instruction booklet says its max is 200 Watts. I have included a photo of the bottom of the device which indicates it is, in fact, 300 Watts. It has a very clear and easy to read digital display. The device plugs into the auto port of the vehicle and the other end is connected to the device with a static built in wire to avoid a plug in type which could end up getting disconnected during use. I don't know if all devices like this have that feature but I find it to be a plus. Also, one doesn't have to worry about losing the cord to it as well. Overall, it's a good device, perfect for using to plug in my laptop while in the car, and allows for several other items to be plugged at the same time. I Would Highly Recommend this product.

I got this to replace my 20 year old previous one. Man, have things progressed. This unit is way smaller than my old one, way better looking and comes with USB slots. I love the fact it has different USB connections since my car doesn't have USB-C slot. Now riders that need one can charge if they need to do that. Like I said, it's small and really nice and modern looking. I also like the over/under voltage protection that my old one didn't have. It also has a "fast charge" function where you plug in your connector and press the button between the two blue lines. That's nice as you don't always have enough time to fully charge. Fast charge seems to work well so far. I'm not sure how valuable the readout is but it's nice to know. It keeps track of your car batter voltage so it's nice to be able reassure yourself on the condition of your battery. I don't leave my plugged in all the time, I only plug it in when I need it. One note: I try to be sure I leave the top and bottom open to the air since that's where the heat vents from. They unit gets warm (not hot) and heat is death to electronics. Best to place it as the add shows with the top and bottom open to the air.
