The lights are bright, even visible in daylight (although spectacular at night). I placed them on a shelf in the atrium and the varied color modes make a pleasant addition to our home. One caveat -- I found it difficult to START the removal of the tape on the adhesive backing (I mistakenly started to remove the whole 3M adhesive strip!), but once started it was a breeze to install. These Lights are very cool. I bought them for my dorm room this year just so my roommates and I could have some different lighting and this was an excellent purchase. They are very bright but have dimming capabilities which is very nice. Additionally, there are many color options and preset changing light functions. The quality seemed questionable at first but now that I've had them and have been using them for about 6 months I can confirm that they are a quality purchase. My two negatives which are very minimal and not important are that: (1) They turn on and off with my TV remote sometimes which is a little bit strange but it's definitely not a big deal at all. And (2) that the create your own type options aren't what I expected. I never really got a great understanding of what it was but I thought it meant that I could create my own set of light changing color schemes that personally fit my moods or the vibes I wanted around my room. However, those options are just for different color shades that may not otherwise exist. Overall - quality lights that will brighten a room to nearly any color that you can imagine. ... show more

I think these are for under cabinet use after we purchased them we noticed it said that but these lights worked great for our use!! We ran them on the trim on the top of the wall.. We absolutely LOVED these LED lights. The colors are beautiful and they set the tone to our evening every night. They do take off the paint on your walls if you need to move them, so that kind of stunk, but I'd still recommend them as they didn't fall off. The remote worked most of the time, but the small sensor made it harder to reach the beam of the remote. Unfortunately, our lights died after only 4 months of use. They turned off on their own tonight. We double checked all connections, the remote, the outlet, and it's definitely the light mechanism itself. :( ... show more

    • Adhesive tape sucks!!
Yeah, my daughter spent over an hour setting these up on her wall, about an inch from the ceiling. They looked awesome. Within two hours, the adhesive failed and brought all the lights down. Now, we have to start all over. Not happy about this at all! I am going to try double-sided tape. Hope this works. They are pretty cool, though. ... show more

Lights work well the only problem was didn't have adhesive tape on them they sent them with foam tape and they don't stick at all to many problems I wish and can return them for my refund very disappointed company screw people over now I'm stuck with 900 feet of lights that don't stick
