These "stools" were ordered to fill a "slim" space. They are very robust, lightweight, with non-slip rubber feet. The backs on these stools are just high enough to give support, yet not be in the way of the counter. This allows for individuals to "belly up" without the back of a "chair" in the way. I'm 6'3" 300lbs, they hold me just fine, sturdier then they look, light weight. But, my fat a$$ can fit like 1 1/2 cheeks on these. If you thicc and got thicc friends, they aren't comfortable for long periods of time. We bought them just for extra chairs when company comes over.
