Just installed two of these to keep my kids out of the basement (dangerous tools and chemicals) and my bedroom (we all need some privacy). They work great- I set up the keycards as well as fingerprints for both my wife and me. They seem solid, and the fingerprint reader works reliably. Installation is no harder than a standard door handle. I didn't buy the hub, so mine are just handles with keypads and fingerprint readers, which is all I need/want. But if you do add the hub they turn into fully fledged smart locks, with remote access via app. My only complaint is that I can't get the tamper alarm to stay off, despite changing the setting in the app multiple times. My youngest likes to play with the fingerprint reader, which sets off the alarm and also prevents legitimate access for ~60sec. EDIT 8/22/22: I've installed a third unit, and all are still working great. One of the latches failed last week- all the electronics and smart components were fine, but the latch itself had a mechanical problem and got stuck. I contacted Yamiry support and they had a free replacement latch at my door within 3 days. Great customer service! ... show more

It works and installation was pretty much straightforward. Does not work well on interior doors as they are thinner and the lock will not tighten up. Added a couple washers and made it work.

I have used this smart lock for over a year now. Setting it up was very easy and I love the fact that there are multiple ways to unlock. We mainly use the fingerprint method, but we have used the key card and key as well when the battery was low. I wanted to write a review because after one year of use, sometimes the unlock mechanism will not work on the first try. When I reached out to Yamiry support they decided to send me a replacement. The first lock arrived with stripped mounting threads and I had to return it. No hassle on the return, but after getting the replacement it was clear that my original was already someone else's open-box return. That was not a great start but at least there were no hassles on the return. Pros: It came with 2 RFID key FOBs and also 2 hard backup keys which was a nice touch. Feels well made and solid. I wouldn't use this to protect anything of significant value, but for my application it is perfect (access to a shared residential storage space). Physical installation went smoothly and it fit perfectly into the hole left by my standard door knob. No extra drilling required. After you agree to the 'privacy policy' (see 'cons' below) the setup is intuitive and easy to navigate. I had to hold my mobile device very close to the lock when sending commands but I was able to easily program the FOBs and fingerprints. Cons: Once it had power an annoying voice prompt was telling me to use bluetooth to get basic function. Neither the included key FOBs nor a custom key code could be used or programmed without first installing their app and programming them, and the app will not open without you first creating an account on their system using a validated email address and agreeing to their very permissive privacy policy. I couldn't find a way to disable the annoying talking prompt loudly telling me to 'connect using bluetooth' without first agreeing to their sketchy privacy policy. I tried to understand all the implications of their privacy policy. From what I could tell (aside from requiring location data) it allows them to use 3rd party sources to amass and use your personal data. I was very disappointed to learn this was required before I could even unlock the door, and this wasn't made clear until after the package was opened and the lock was physically installed. I tried not allowing them access to my location information but it would not even try to connect to the lock without it. Very annoying. Be advised that this is a Chinese company and this product requires you to agree to their loosey goosey privacy policy before you can use its most basic functions. If that is of no concern to you then you might like the ease of use and function. ... show more

1. Super easy to install on my right-hand door with only took me about 10min for the work. I did a lock replacement; no drill is needed in my case. 2. Order with a $15 off coupon; great value for the money. 3. For the past 2 weeks, I have been using fingerprint, IR card, and phone APP to unlock the door with all delighted performance. It's worth noting that IR cards and phone APP work super fast and 100% reliable, but sometimes failed with the fingerprint access method (~5% nonsuccess rate). With this regard, I highly recommend always being with your phone and IR card for preventing some unforeseen accidents. 4. keyboard works but the design is not smart. There is NO backward or delete option for correcting the passcode, once you type in the wrong passcode 5 times you will hear a 2min alarm and which is very annoying. ... show more

I like the feel of this lever lock. I moved it with me to a new house, and it was very easy to change the direction of the handle for my new door Customer service responded quickly when I had a mounting plate screw hole not threaded correctly and sent out a new plate to repair it. The fingerprint reader is a nice feature but doesn't always work on the 1st or 2nd try. I find it works best to add multiple copies of you finger to the lock to increase the change of it recognizing you in the 1st attempt. ... show more
