This scooter is made out of weak aluminum parts that will deform within a couple of uses of a 6 year old. Don't waste your money. The plastic ones are better.

Easy to put together but not quite as easy to ride. I do like the two wheels up front as an option, but their added movement makes it a bit difficult for a beginner to ride. My 6 year old son is still trying to get used to it. It will take some practice.

The media could not be loaded. It took my husband 5 minutes and no tools to put this together. It took my 2 year old 5 seconds to start getting the hang of riding it. It's definitely solid, and rather heavy. But what may not be good for a kid that's already knows how to ride a scooter, is great for one that's just learning. This doesn't fall over easily, and it's stable enough where my son can ride it without falling over every few seconds. So the doesn't get as discouraged. The video is of his very first attempt at riding it outside, having tried it inside for about a minute. This is how easy is it to get started on it. He rode it around for about 20 minutes, which is hours in toddler-time. It is a fairly large scooter, so (despite the title) it's probably better suited to 3+ year olds. My 2 year old is 37in tall, and that's probably as small as I'd go. Overall I'm very happy with it, and I hope my son gets some use of it, while the weather still allows. ... show more

Please notice how this scooter is steered, the front wheel movement is operated by leaning to the side, not turning the handle bar. Much harder to use then a typical scooter and not helpful “practice” for a big boy scooter. I will be returning this
