I have a very crazy 3-year-old sleeper. He prefers my bed, but we often go to the other room until were ready to go to bed and allow him to sleep in our queen bed. One night he fell off and I felt so bad! He wasn't hurt, but still. When I found this bed rail, I was so happy. This guardrail has given us so much peace of mind. It's sturdy, and the mesh allows breathability if your body is against it. My favorite characteristic is that it is so easy to fold the rail down to allow easier access on and off the bed. With just two buttons you've either lifted or put the rail down in less than 5 seconds. This is the perfect item for bed sharing. It fit perfectly along the long side of our queen bed and it's high enough where I don't think he will ever fall out again.

This was an interesting project. The instructions are for multiple sized products, so know what size you ordered and adapt accordingly. My biggest piece of advice is measure how long you want this before you order, as they are much larger than I was anticipating, and it’s almost the entire length of the long side of the bed. Also, it very clearly says this is not fur bunk beds, and I obviously fit this for a bunk bed and can see that it would trap my child in that bed if there was an emergency, so plan accordingly. I did get this together with few errors and a lot of laughs. It’s a very strong product and will take a beating. It’s higher than more toddler rails, and has padded bars around most of the edges. This is a good product, just review the warnings before buying.

Let’s get the worst out of the way and say we agree that assembly and the instructions are horrific. My husband cursed this thing a million times before it was ever together and couldn’t stress enough to have me mention how awful the directions were that come with this. That said.. once it was finally put together and put in place, I do like the rail a lot! We have a 14mo old who sometimes wakes way too early, so this rail makes bringing him to snooze for another couple hours with mommy a lot safer. It feels rigid and sturdy when locked upright, so I feel confident it’s not going anywhere. What’s nice is, with the press of two buttons, it folds down flush against the bed without being in the way at all, so when we need the bed to be normal again, the rail just disappears. - Awesome! The fabric that covers the rail is of nice quality and looks good. The sizing of the rail fits our queen bed well (scooted down just enough to clear the nightstand next to the head of the bed). Overall, once it was assembled, this toddler bed rail turned out to be great. I love the peace of mind it gives me when our little one bed-shares with us sporadically - and I’m sure once we transition him to a bed of his own it may come in handy too. Photos of it extended and locked upright, as well as folded downward while not in use. - Please excuse the Halloween theme bed this month, haha.

I ordered a size too big but it worked out since the rail system is universal and only real difference is the size of the cover. Adjusting the size smaller just made the cover looser but didn't effect the sturdiness of the rail and works out for our needs. It was fairly easy to build but had a lot of pieces. It feels very strong and sturdy and makes us feel at ease that our LO won't roll off the bed.

This was really easy to put together once you understood their labels, took about 10 minutes total. When my 15 month old wakes up super early and I hope she’ll fall back asleep, sometimes I bring her into our bed. It’s a king but I get concerned my husband will roll over since he’s a deeper sleeper. So I wanted this so I could put her on my side instead of the middle and not be afraid she would roll off. I love that it folds down so I can lower it when she’s not in with me. Another perk is it keeps the sheets tucked in. The rail itself is a great quality. There’s a bit of a gap so I wouldn’t have used it with her any younger in case she could roll between. The length is great for our king bed side where I can still reach the bedside table at the top. My only concern is that the “anchor” is just a plastic piece with a very thin ribbon on it. I can see how the anchor piece could work in theory but if you pull hard on the ribbon it loosens. It mentions screwing the anchor to a wooden bed frame but I don’t want to put holes in our bed, and that wouldn’t even help since the issue is how securely the ribbon ties back. It hasn’t resulted in a big issue yet safety wise, just annoying to have to keep tightening over time. Otherwise the product itself is great!
