Overall, this ab roller is a good buy. It is relatively inexpensive, works as it is supposed to and is very effective at targeting a number of different areas. The wheel grips the floor without slipping, and the padded handles make it easy to hang on to. The instruction manual, however, needs some serious work. It is poorly translated and lacking in any real guidance, especially for beginners. If you have never used one before, I would strongly suggest searching YouTube videos for demonstrations and cautions as it is very easy to overestimate your ability and do too much. Putting it together was not difficult except for pushing the padded handles on the steel tube. This is noted in the manual. There is air resistance that works against you as the handles are pushed in place because there is nowhere for it to escape. I found it necessary to twist and wiggle the handles with quite a bit of force to get them properly seated. Since correct placement is crucial to keep the wheel from wobbling when in use, this step can be a bit frustrating. The foam mat included was a nice thought, but at 6 1/2 “x 13”, it is too small to be very useful for most people. In general, if you want to try out an ab roller without investing a lot of money, you might consider this one. ... show more

I’m no ab wheel pro, but this works well. I was easily able to roll out and roll back. The rubber on the wheel is thick and durable. I use it on smooth concrete without any issue.
