I was looking at walking pads for the last year or more, but was wary because the most exercise I get is walking up the stairs to my second-story office. But, I'm over 50 and the doctors all say I could turn things around if I got some exercise. I'm not a fan of the outdoors, being very a sun-adverse introvert, but I do enjoy walking, so I decided to give a walking pad a try and I'm not disappointed. The little phone holder is not much higher than my waist, so I also bought a gooseneck tablet holder and a page-turner ring and my little set up is pretty sweet. I jump on the walking pad, start reading, and the next thing I know I've walked a mile or more! Take that, doctors! Set-up was basically non-existent, since it comes fully assembled in the box. I followed the advice of some of the other reviews and oiled the walking pad well and let it run for a bit before trying it out. The sound of the motor is non-existent, but there is a little bit of a whooshing/rubbing noise, nothing that distracts from reading. I walk with the handle in the upright position, just to have something to grab onto if I need it, but it's nice to have the controls on the top of the bar for easy adjustments rather than having to hold onto the remote. Yes, the beeps before it starts are annoying, but I quickly forget about them. I love that this walking pad has a little more length, I'm 5' 10" and was worried I'd walk off the back. I do wish it was wider, as I sometimes find myself walking on the edges of the track if I'm not careful, but it's easy to readjust and keep going. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase and I know my doctors will be as well. ... show more

I purchased this because I needed to get more steps in. I really like that it folds up and slides under my bed very easily. What's also really great about it is that it has a stand where you can set your phone. I like that it goes over 7 mph and not 3.8 like most of the others. Once the belt got adjusted, it has seemed to stay in place, which was something I was concerned about. There is an app that connects to the treadmill and, there are a lot of free tracks you can do and some pay to play. I do the free tracks and it's still fun. It keeps me motivated to work out and get healthier. It is worth every penny. I highly recommend purchasing this machine. ... show more

This is a great walking pad if you are staying under 3.8mph and are going to walk for less than an hour. It was super easy to assemble, set up, and get going. It fits great under a desk- it is a bit loud so better if you don't use it while on calls. I bought it because it said it was for both walking and running but the motor overheats and shuts off abruptly. I walk/run on it for about 3 miles at a time (~60mins, 3.8-6.0mph) and it gets HOT. I have been very pleased with this treadmill and definitely recommend it. There is very low impact when running which I really like. The controls are simple and great for making quick adjustments to the speed and incline. You can select a specific level or adjust with a option as needed. The fan is a fun feature as well. I have enjoyed using the IFIT workouts a few times and that has been a great but it does require an added membership so not necessary. Assembly did take maybe 30 minutes but it wasn't hard. All of the tools and parts were included and were labeled with directions and numbers for each part when it was needed. After my initial review, DeerRun reached out and took full responsibility for the problems I was having with my treadmill. Even though I'm way outside the return/refund window! DeerRun has stepped up & done everything possible to make my experience better. Love a company with amazing customer support! ----- I purchased this treadmill at the end of September 2023. At first, it worked okay, though I noticed it did get warm (bordering on hot) if I used it for longer than 30 minutes. But now, halfway through December, using the folding bar is near-impossible due to the small electric shocks it can (& 100% will) zap me with if I dare touch it. The treadmill also gets blistering-hot if used for longer than 30 minutes now. Sadly, this treadmill won't be in my house for much longer. ... show more

    • Great if you are walking while working but gets hot.
I really like the size of this walking pad. Very easy to put together. But now that I have owned it for about 4 months, you can smell the motor getting hot. The max I use it is 30 minutes at 3.2 mph. At that point you can really smell the motor working hard and heating up. If you want something to just use at a super slow speed, then this might be you.     • Caught fire 4 months in
Prior to today anytime I would walk over the speed of 2 I smelt a burning smell. I usually stopped after that and hadn't walked more than 1.5 miles before. Today I pushed it a bit more and went to speed of 2.5 after I had already been walking 1.5 miles aiming for 2 miles today and it started smoking and a horrible burning smell came from it. I had to quickly remove it from under my desk where I was also working and spray it down with a first alert fire spray as the smoke was getting worse. This is a dangerous product to have.
