  • I can’t believe it!!
I cannot believe how well this product works! Once you figure it out it’s amazing and worked so fast for us! My 6 yr old decided she didn’t want to wear pull ups anymore but is a very hard sleeper and would wake up with a full pull up every morning even after cutting out the water ect. I did not want to be up all night changing undies, pjs and sheets so we used a pull up with the wet stop! In order to get it to clip and stay on in the right place, we cut a slit in the pull up on the inside near the “pee zone” then clipped the wet stop sensor side out. The cord is very long so we wound it up and taped it with electrical tape and tucked it on the side of her pjs and clipped the blue mechanism on her pj pants waistband. Don’t wake your child to pee, you want them to be alerted by the monitor. 2 days of middle of the night alerts, followed by 3 days of morning alerts and she’s waking up dry every day now! Highly recommend this product! ... show more

  • So Glad I Tried This
I am so glad that I read the hundreds of positive reviews on this device and bought it for my daughter. She is about to turn five. She was potty trained at age three and did not have a single accident at night until age 4. At that time she began wetting the bed multiple times a week, sometimes per night. Her pediatrician told me that her sleep patterns could have changed at age 4 and this is what could have brought on her bed wetting. He recommended one of these device. I had her tested for every type of infection and with all negative results, we went back to pull-ups. Permanently for a year. Wet beds are even common at nap time if she is really tired. A dry pull-up happened once a month at most. I found this device online and let her pick the color. I explained that it would help wake her up if she had an accident at night. She gave it a cute name and it does not bother her. I had to be brave myself taking away the pullups. She was really excited about the stickers. It started off very positive. After 3 or four days she had not had a single accident and I thought that perhaps her be wetting habit was all in my head. Four days into trying the device, it went off. I went into her room and tried to wake her up, but I ended up carrying her to the bathroom while she slept the whole time. There was a big mess. Later that night it went off again, and this time she woke up. There was a mess again, but about half the volume. Two uneventful weeks have gone by since. It woke her up tonight and there was so little mess that it did not even wet her PJ's. This device has worked better than I expected. It has been fun and very effective. It is both motivating for me and her. She is doing much better than I though she would. I believe in a month she will be accident free. ... show more

  • Still worthwhile
This is the second Wet-Stop 3 that I've ordered. The first inexplicably stopped working not quite a year after purchase. I found the price to be sufficiently low that I didn't mind purchasing the same item again, since while it worked even my daughter liked it. On the new one, we found that one of the alarm modes did not work right out of the box. There is a three-position switch inside the unit which lets you choose between vibration, audio, or both. The mode for "both" did not work, although the vibration mode alone worked fine and the audio mode alone also functions. So although I like this product, I cannot give it five stars. Why I like it: - Small size and light weight does not seem to bother the child who wears it. Battery size=AAA means the batteries don't make the unit heavy, either. Even such small batteries seem to last about two months. - Sensor works well. I bought a replacement sensor by DryBuddy which was cheaper than the replacement cords sold by WetStop. It did fit this unit, but it did not trigger the alarm upon dampness -- the tip had to be completely wet before it activated the alarm. The DryBuddy grip mechanism seems superior to that on the WetStop, but I never used the DryBuddy sensor since it wasn't sufficiently sensitive. - Information included with the product is helpful. An electronic book is included, written by the doctor who developed this product. I read about half the book, and found some of its recommendations to be extreme. Taken with a grain of salt, however, it was useful. - Included chart and stickers help visualize progress. I had the foresight to copy the chart before using it, since only one copy is included. One sheet each of both silver and gold stars are also included. The included stars ran out after several months, but sheets of star stickers may be purchased anywhere. ... show more
