I had no idea this kind of spreader existed! When I stumbled on it, I ordered one. We have a long and hilly driveway that we have to shovel snow off of a few times a year. I usually carry a heavy bucket of ice melt with me or walk back up to it refill my scoop. It'll save me tons of time to not have to walk back and forth for refills. With this spreader, I can fill it all the way up and then use the dial to determine how much ice melt to drop. It's easy to turn and stays in place when you choose your setting. It has three different options to control how much you want on your driveway. The holes are small, medium, and large so all types of ice melt will fit. It also came with rubber gloves and a scoop. I'm ready to clear my driveway this winter!

Often, the simplest thing is the best thing. This is a simple dispenser, for whatever you need to dispense. Grass seed, fertilizer, salt, whatever. There are a few different sized openings, but it's up to you to determine the right amount of stuff to dispense, especially in the case of fertilizer where too much isn't necessarily better than not enough. It's far better than reaching into a bag of fertilizer and grabbing a handful and throwing it around. This will get plenty of use, and there's nothing to break or go wrong. The included scoop is handy. The gloves are ok, but a bit on the small side so not for everyone. I think it's a little bit on the expensive side for basically four pieces of molded plastic, but what isn't expensive these days? And there's really nothing to break under normal usage, so it ought to last a long time.

This Qaobo three setting adjustable handheld spreader is very simple and certainly effective, and would work in any season. The spreader does a good job of balancing practicality with ease of use. The 2.5L capacity is larger than I expected, and that means fewer trips back to refill, helpful for larger areas. The adjustable settings make this switchable between wide, medium, or fine flow, easily switched between depending on what you’re spreading. The handle feels comfortable with a soft grip that makes it easier to use for longer periods without tiring out your hands. The giant brand sticker is a bit of overkill, but I guess that doesn't matter really. I’ve used this for spreading grass seed, and I plan to use it to spread ice melt this winter. I am sure it will handle both tasks equally well. The flow stays consistent while using it, so it definitely helps to keep the spreading equal. It is not a fancy or high end tool, but it’s reliable and straightforward, which is exactly what I wanted. It comes with a scoop for filling, and a pair of gloves which I didn't use. Overall, a simple, all-season spreader that works without much fuss.

The 3-adjustable settings on my handheld spreader for revitalizing the soil for my Dewberry garden beds works very well. Being handheld means I can stop or start the flow of spreading my soil amendment at any point in time that I choose which is important as I try to clean out the old expired canes at the same time that I get the soil ready for new growth (see photo attached to this review for reference). You will want to note that this spreader came with a nice pair of garden gloves and a scoop that I can dedicate to using only for this purpose.

This is a well made spreader, it is made of thick sturdy plastic and holds 2.5L. The blue dial click locks to three different settings to allow you to control the flow. I was initially concerned because the small holes looked too big in the listing but in person they turned out to be just right for fertilizer or grass seed. The blue dial is not removable, so it won’t fall off. The entire top comes off, there is a notch it fits into and you can see where it says open or closed, just be sure the lid is lined up inside that notched area and it goes on and off easily and it clicks to lock in the closed. You get a small shovel to fill it up and cloves. This is very well made, the lid takes some practice to get on and off but once you pay attention to how it goes on, it’s quite easy to use. Worked ok for what it is, I got this to spread diatomaceous earth around the house for insect control. The plastic is quite durable and its relatively comfortable to use. Also comes with a durable plastic scoop and general rubberized gloves. My only gripe about this is that the top tends to want to screw off if you turn the dial the same way to change the hole size. Luckily, this isn't something that has to be done often so it wasn't a big deal. Also, the massive brand sticker is a bit unnecessary and looks tacky, but this is easy to remove. The main thing is that the container is durable and it does spread powdered material well.
